Valerie sat in her room, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. "Oh, dear Sophia... You have no idea what's coming for you. Once this detective can figure out the mystery behind you, then I will finally be able to get rid of you.

Someone like you doesn't deserve Alex, and I would make sure I ruin your life. My chances of getting Alex were high until you came along; now I'm going to make you pay." Valerie muttered to herself.

Valerie was so sucked in her scheming against Sophia that she didn't notice Joseph standing at the door and leaning against the door frame.

"Hey," Joseph muttered, walking into the room.

Valerie's heart skipped a beat, and she turned sharply to Joseph. "What the hell? You scared me." Valerie muttered.

Joseph's expression turned apologetic. "Sorry about that, it's just that you seemed lost in thoughts, so I decided to bring you back." He replied.
