Capítulo 2: Creepy family

[New Jersey, Hospital, Friday the 13th]

Alex's instincts screamed that the people before him were extremely dangerous.

A slim man with a mustache, a woman in a peculiar black hospital gown, and a living hand covered in cuts occupied the small hospital room with him.

They exuded a chaotic aura that sent shivers down his spine.

What was he doing there?

His hands had become pale and small, like those of a baby, and no matter how much effort he put into moving, his body wouldn't respond.

"Morticia, what a sinister child we have!" said the slim man, his eyes brimming with love and emotion as he hugged the pale woman tightly.

"She has cold, sad eyes and hasn't made a sound since she was born. A truly frightening child." said the woman, caressing the baby's head with tender eyes.

The words felt like insults to Alex, but he couldn't understand why their expressions seemed so touched.

"A child full of woe..." the woman whispered, holding the baby at eye level. "Wednesday Friday Addams, that must be her name."

At her words, a loud thunderclap echoed outside. The weather was worse than ever, and the rain was getting heavier.

"What a wonderful name, Cara Mia!" the man exclaimed, kissing the woman passionately, tears streaming down his face.

The living hand secretly picked up a tissue from nowhere and wiped his tears like a perfect assistant.

"Oh, Gomez... do you think so too?"

The man and woman kissed each other passionately, oblivious to those around them.

'These people are crazy,' he thought, his mind racing to understand his current situation.

His last memory was being killed by a crazy blonde girl at a fan meeting, and then waking up in this hospital inside a baby's body.

He had been reincarnated; nothing else could explain it.

Something strange was the fact he couldn't move his own body. It felt like his body had another consciousness.

As if proving his doubts, the little hand reached out to touch the woman without his intention.

"Are you hungry, Wednesday?" the woman asked with tender eyes.

Alex felt embarrassed by her behavior.

She treated him more lovingly than his girlfriend, but at the same time, her sinister aura warned him of danger.

These contradictions left him confused.

'!'

A soft sensation greeted his lips, filling his mind with a sense of satisfaction.

His body was falling asleep.

Strangely, at this moment, Alex could feel his body responding to him.

He could move his hands and body now.

'What?'

Suddenly, the woman looked at the sky with wide eyes.

The man hurriedly supported her, ensuring she wouldn't fall.

Seconds later, the woman returned to normal and stared at his body with slightly surprised eyes.

"Did you have a vision, Querida?" asked the man.

"This child..." said the woman, surprisingly, as she looked at his body.

Alex started to feel uncomfortable due to her eccentric behavior.

"It seems we have two new members in our family, Mon Cherie."

"Two?!" exclaimed the man, surprised, while looking at him.

"What a peculiar child." said the woman, looking directly into his eyes.

This sight made his entire body tremble.

How did the woman find out about his existence?

"Her eyes have a charm that captivates those around her." said the woman, looking at him as if analyzing his entire soul. "Tuesday Friday Addams, a child full of grace."

"Two children in one single body? What a disastrous child!" cried the man again, dramatically hugging their bodies.

The living hand wiped his tears away and patted his shoulder.

Alex, now Tuesday, felt as if his mind had become as scrambled as a broken CPU. His mind simply stopped working.

Somehow, he had been discovered by these strange people, but instead of being scared, they seemed happier.

His sharp instincts were telling him that a big mistake had been made.

And that he would never live peacefully again.

*

Three days had passed since then when, beyond his parents' concern, a bald man appeared in the room.

The man had pallid skin and exuded a dense, dangerous aura. Strangely, his aura seemed even crazier than that of his parents.

"Brother, you're here!" Gormez exclaimed, embracing the man and kissing his cheek. "I haven't seen you in almost twenty years!"

"Hahaha! How could I not come?" replied the man with a wide and strange smile.

He approached excitedly, electricity seeming to crackle from his ears.

Wait, what?

"Calm down, Fester, the child can't handle it yet." Morticia interjected, soothingly restraining the dangerously approaching man.

"Oh! I forgot." he replied casually, as if it were a minor oversight.

Did this guy almost kill him?

His huge hands entered his field of view, and the baby grasped his finger.

"Oh! Those cold eyes and pallid skin, almost like a corpse. She's an Addams!" Tears streamed down his face like a waterfall.

Tuesday was starting to get used to these odd displays of affection. He didn't know why, but each time he felt a chill from these people.

His father approached proudly, his face understanding.

"Her name is Wednesday and Tuesday."

"Two names? Jackpot!" exclaimed Uncle Fester, wiping away tears again.

His father simply nodded in agreement. He didn't seem to care to explain his situation properly.

The strange reunion continued until a towering man over two meters tall appeared. His skin was as pale as death, with a short haircut and dressed in a black suit.

"Go... Home..."

His voice was so deep that he felt it resonate through his body.

Strangely, this huge and intimidating man had a gentle aura compared to his parents.

It was a neutral aura, much like the baby's.

This feeling made Tuesday feel fear and warmth simultaneously, in a stark contrast to the other family members, and equally confusing.

"Oh, Lurch is here already?" his father said, patting the huge man's shoulder.

The towering man seemed to be another member of his eccentric family. Why wasn't he surprised?

"It's time to go home, baby."

The woman's smile was as beautiful as a poisoned apple.

Home? Did he have to share a home with these crazy people?

Tuesday didn't want to accept his new reality, but the steps of the woman holding him didn't slow.

For the first time, he saw outside the hospital.

It was dark and raining.

A black, exotic car awaited them.

The living hand opened the doors, and they entered the car.

The interior was as exotic as the exterior, incredibly spacious.

Everything was so black. Why did everything related to these people always seem dark or suspicious?

He felt as though he was being kidnapped by strange individuals.

The people around looked surprised by the sight. They were avoiding them.

The tall man sat in the front passenger seat, and the living hand, Thing, sat in the driver's seat.

'The hand will drive the car...?'

Tuesday was shocked by the sight. How could something without eyes drive a car?

Maybe they would die before they got home.

Unaware of his thoughts, the owner of his body was peacefully playing with Uncle Fester's fingers.

An innocent baby among these wolves... poor child.

Tuesday felt sad for the owner of his body, a baby only three days old.

She was the only comfort Tuesday had among these crazy people.

Since he woke up here, he could instinctively feel a strange aura covering the bodies of the living beings.

It was an ability he hadn't had before, but it manifested after his death. He could instinctively sense the psyche and predispositions of a being.

That was why he was so scared of his family. All their auras were dark, chaotic, and nonsensical, with a twisted sense of morality.

'I can't let the child live with these monsters.'

These people showed affection and supportive behavior, but Tuesday was suspicious that he could die because of their chaotic nature.

This was what his instincts were telling him—a sense of ambiguity, danger, and affection.

"♪" Tuesday started to sing.

He wanted to distract himself from those people. When he sang, his mind seemed to slow down, relieving his stress.

The child's fingers moved at his sound as if both were synchronized. He could feel a sense of joy being shared with the baby.

'Do you like it?'

The baby kept moving her fingers in the tone of the melody.

Seeing a so pure scene among those strange people warmed his heart.

It was like free therapy.

'I will protect this child.'

Tuesday didn't know if he could do it. Maybe he was just being impulsive and trying to escape reality by using the child as an excuse.

But what was wrong with that?

He had died and lost everything—his girlfriend, fans, and all the money he had saved from his hard work.

Tuesday had lost his meaning and reason to live and depressive thoughts were consuming his mind, so he decided to give himself a new purpose.

'I will raise you well, kid.'

*

Tuesday's determination immediately turned to dust when they arrived at their "home."

It was a haunted mansion in the middle of a cemetery. The view sent chills down his spine.

'Crazy.'

The mansion was completely covered in black as if it had its own ego.

When the car approached, the door opened on its own.

A dark and small atmosphere enveloped the car, and a strange fog was everywhere.

A cold sensation enveloped him, and he felt a liquid leaking from his body.

He had wet himself from fear.

In his past life, he had never been good at dealing with terror. His heart would beat desperately from the slightest jumpscare.

His girlfriend often teased him because of it, and he had nothing to say.

But in his past life, at least he was in control.

But now...

'Am I really living here?'

How could he survive? There was no way he could live in this creepy mansion from now on!

"Tuesday seems to have liked her new home." smiled the woman with an eccentric, kind smile.

'Is this hell?'

Tuesday knew for sure. He must have betrayed his country countless times in one of his previous lives.

Now karma had come, and he needed to pay his debt with an even more miserable life.

Tears fell down his face.

For the first time, the baby cried.

This time, he just wanted to cry like the baby he was.

REFLEXIONES DE LOS CREADORES
Frowfy Frowfy

The first improvement was the pronoun. I used "she" for the protagonist and many people hated it. I'm very curious with old readers reading it and having the same odd feelings.
