Nathan was hurt by Liam seeing him as a bad father. It was easy for Liam to say that when he wasn't around so often to see the things Nathan did to protect him.

Nathan chose not to fight Liam on how he was as a father. Someday when Liam had children then he would understand.

"When am I getting grandchildren? It's been a long enough time. Why don't you bring us some good news?" Nathan asked, ready for someone to call him grandpa.

"You want me to think about getting a baby now after my wife was in a big accident? How are you still married? Why am I asking that? You and mother are similar. Don't ask me about children. If you want someone to play with, get a pet," Liam suggested.

"One of these days I am going to hit you hard enough to make up for all the times I didn't hit you-"
