Capítulo 94: Ch.94 A Trap?

Night fell.

Wearing the Akatsuki cloak with red clouds and a mask, Uchiha Shinji once again snuck into Karin's room.

Facing Uchiha Shinji, disguised as the leader of the Akatsuki organization, Karin still appeared a bit nervous. "Leader!"

Uchiha Shinji nodded and first inspected the transplant area on Karin's arm.

It was still the same, wrinkled and rough.

So, Uchiha Shinji shifted his attention to Karin's eyes. "How's the right eye?"

As Karin handed Uchiha Shinji her small notebook of records, she replied, "These past few days, my eye has been swelling at times. Occasionally, it feels like it's throbbing in its socket, almost like…"

"A heartbeat?"

Karin nodded repeatedly, "Yes, exactly!"

"That's the eye regenerating!" Uchiha Shinji explained, then asked, "Can you see anything yet?"

Karin said, "I can barely make out some light and shadows."

A smile formed beneath Uchiha Shinji's mask.

He then flipped through Karin's notebook.

Combining her daily records with what she just reported, Uchiha Shinji became increasingly certain that Karin's blind right eye was indeed recovering, and the speed of recovery was accelerating as her cellular fusion progressed.

While he couldn't pinpoint the exact time for full recovery, it wouldn't be long.

Uchiha Shinji then looked at her other eye. "What about the left eye?"

"The left eye sometimes throbs along with the right..." Karin hesitated for a moment before adding, "But my vision has been getting better. I can see things clearly even from tens of meters away."

Perhaps due to malnutrition in her childhood, Karin's vision had always been poor, and she had worn glasses for most of her life.

So after transplanting the Mangekyō Sharingan, she became very sensitive to the improvement in her eyesight, feeling as though the world around her had changed.

"Even the left eye's dojutsu power is increasing..."

Uchiha Shinji understood the situation clearly.

The power stored in the Mangekyō Sharingan directly affected one's vision. When the eye power was depleted, blurred vision would occur.

Uchiha Shinji had experienced this firsthand, so he knew that for a Mangekyō Sharingan, improved eyesight almost equated to an increase in dojutsu power.

After closing Karin's notebook, Uchiha Shinji reminded her one last time, "While you're channeling Yang Release chakra into your right eye, don't neglect your training in Wood Release."

Karin seemed hesitant.

Noticing her expression, Uchiha Shinji continued, "Only by mastering Wood Release through chakra nature fusion and infusing it with the Yang Release chakra that contains the traits of the Divine Tree will you be able to fully absorb the special cells implanted in you and elevate your Sage Body to its ultimate form."

Finally, Karin asked the question that had been weighing on her mind, "If I do that, will I be able to help my mother?"

Uchiha Shinji nodded gently, "At that point, your Sage Body will surpass your mother's completely. Replenishing the life force she's lost will be easy for you."

Karin's eyes lit up with excitement upon hearing this.

Uchiha Shinji said no more and turned to leave.

[Dimensional encounter detected.]

[Countdown: 0]

[Prepare for immediate engagement.]

Suddenly, the voice of the 'Lamp' echoed in his ear.

Upon hearing this long-missed alert, Uchiha Shinji narrowed his eyes slightly. "Another zero countdown..."

From his previous experience, Uchiha Shinji understood that a zero countdown meant that the intruder had already infiltrated the shinobi world for a long time, only hidden from detection by the Lamp's shadow.

In other words, the fact that the 'Lamp' was detecting the intruder now made it difficult to determine whether this was intentional on the intruder's part.

"Could this be a trap?"

...

In the Land of Fire, Green Pine Town.

Walking through the bustling night market, Zabuza Momochi mused aloud, "I didn't expect such a small town to have such a lively night market. As expected of the Land of Fire."

Itachi, who was walking beside him, suddenly stopped and looked toward a nearby shop.

Following his gaze, Zabuza saw the shop was a dango store. "A dango shop? Itachi, you like sweets? That's not good for your teeth."

Itachi calmly said, "Let's take a break inside."

Zabuza chuckled, "Alright, let's rest, as you say."

The two walked into the dango shop and each ordered a skewer of dango and a cup of Green Pine Town's special high-mountain green tea.

Chewing on the dango, Zabuza remarked, "Itachi, I wouldn't have thought someone like you would enjoy something like this."

"You don't like it?"

"Too sweet." Zabuza put down the bamboo skewer and glanced outside at the night market. "Those imposters should be operating around here, right?"

The two weren't here just to enjoy the night market.

The Akatsuki organization was still in the phase of amassing power. Although they accepted various missions, they hadn't yet actively provoked the Five Great Shinobi Villages.

In Nagato's plan, the Akatsuki needed another six or seven years to build up their strength.

At the same time, Nagato himself needed time to fully adjust and be in his best, strongest condition before starting a revolution in the shinobi world!

Even though Nagato had transplanted the Rinnegan over a decade ago, he was still figuring it out.

Controlling the Rinnegan was incredibly difficult, and only someone like Nagato, from the Uzumaki Clan, could manage it. For anyone else, the transplant alone would have been impossible.

And even Nagato struggled to wield the full power of the Rinnegan. For a long time, he had been unable to unleash its true potential.

This was why, despite having the Rinnegan, he had been powerless to save his best friend from being killed by Hanzō and Danzo.

During this time when the Akatsuki had chosen to operate in the shadows, a group had suddenly emerged, pretending to be the Akatsuki, and began specifically attacking shinobi from the Five Great Villages.

Nagato was furious upon receiving this news!

Anyone who interfered with his plans had to die, so he immediately sent Itachi and Zabuza to investigate.

Itachi quietly sipped his tea.

Unlike Zabuza, who was a straightforward rogue shinobi, Itachi still had people he cared about deep in his heart. Although he appeared calm, he was actually very anxious about this mission.

He couldn't allow the village to think he had completely turned traitor.

If that happened, he couldn't bear to imagine the fate that would await his younger brother, who remained in the village.

"Huh!?"

Suddenly, Zabuza stood up.

Itachi followed his gaze to the night market and spotted a figure wearing the familiar Akatsuki cloak with red clouds slipping through the crowd.

His eyes sharpened, and his expression changed.

Aside from their team, no other members of the Akatsuki were in the area.

So when they saw the familiar cloak, they immediately knew that the person was one of the imposters responsible for attacking shinobi from the Five Great Villages under the guise of the Akatsuki.

Zabuza grinned, "Time to get to work!"

Itachi gently placed his tea cup down and nodded.
