Jounouchi looked around at the opponents surrounding him and made up his mind.
Although Kyoko Sakura could recover infinitely as long as her Soul Gem wasn't destroyed, she still had to endure the pain of being injured over and over.
So, before she could heal, Jounouchi had to face all these enemies alone.
"You know, I really don't like what you're all doing," he declared loudly. "So whatever happens next, don't blame me!"
As everyone's eyes fell on him, he remained confident.
Beside him, a small, clock-like creature wielding a tiny staff swayed back and forth. It was **Time Wizard**, one of Jounouchi's Duel Monsters. Since he'd chosen to summon it, he had clearly decided to take down all his enemies in one go.
"Huh?"
Seeing the little creature appear, Lelouch frowned, feeling a deep sense of unease.
But the opportunity to eliminate Caster was right in front of him; there was no way he'd pass it up. Caster's strange and unpredictable magic had to be dealt with, and on that point, both Lelouch and Kenshin were in agreement.
With Rider, Saber, and Assassin surrounding Caster, there was no way they could lose. Three against one—surely, they wouldn't be defeated, right?
"Take this!" Jounouchi shouted.
At his command, the small creature began to spin its clock-like body. Kenshin had been ready to charge in, but an intense feeling of dread stopped him in his tracks.
He had a gut feeling—something bad was about to happen.
"Whirr, whirr, whirr!!"
The clock spun faster and faster, and then it finally stopped at the "12 o'clock" mark.
"Yes! It worked!" Jounouchi cheered. "Let's go!"
He had succeeded on the first try, and his incredible luck was still going strong. At this critical moment, he had unleashed a game-changing strike.
"!"
"!!"
The first ones to sense the danger were Kenshin and Saber. Their heightened senses and Instinct ability kicked in, causing them to instinctively move closer together.
"Waver! Use a Command Spell!"
Suddenly realizing the threat, Lelouch whipped around, shouting in panic.
For the first time, he had completely lost his composure.
Seeing Rider in such a state left Waver completely dumbfounded. He had never seen the normally calm and collected Lelouch so shaken.
"Hurry!"
"But how am I supposed to use it?!"
Under Lelouch's urging, Waver snapped out of it, panickedly trying to figure out what to do. How was he supposed to use a Command Spell in this situation? He was completely lost and had no idea what was going on.
"By the order of Lelouch vi Britannia, use a Command Spell!!"
There wasn't time for explanations. For the first time, Lelouch was truly desperate—so much so that he even used his **Geass** on Waver.
Even the wisest minds can make mistakes in the heat of battle, and this was one of those moments.
"By Command Spell, I order you, Rider!"

"?"
"!"
Not far away, Berserker and Gilgamesh both suddenly felt a cold chill run down their spines. Both instinctively activated their life-saving abilities and Noble Phantasms.
And then—
"Gah! Ack!!"
"You… lowlife!!"
Both of them suddenly coughed up blood as something strange began to happen.
Berserker, clad in his thick armor, dropped to one knee on the ground. Even though he had sensed the attack coming from the creature, the damage he took was severe.
Looking at the equally battered Gilgamesh told the whole story. The King had barely managed to fend off the "damage" by pulling a protective Noble Phantasm from his treasury. But even then, blood was streaming from his seven orifices.
"That…!!"
This was no ordinary lapse in composure. Gilgamesh was seething with rage.
Interrupting his battle was one thing, but to ambush him with such a dirty trick?
Had he not reacted quickly and summoned a defensive treasure, he could very well have been dead by now. If that had happened… well, he would have died of pure rage—though he was pretty close to it now.
"Damn that Caster!!"
---
"What's… happening?"
Saber lay on the ground, her mind still dazed. Moments ago, she had sensed a mortal threat and, guided by her **Instinct**, instinctively moved closer to Assassin.
Only now, in the aftermath, was she beginning to piece together what had happened. Pain coursed through her entire body, making it clear just how severe the damage had been.
"Ngh…"
Even Kenshin, lying on the ground, struggled to stand.
'That was too dangerous… that creature's power is unbelievable!' Kenshin thought, for the first time truly shaken by an enemy's attack.
Had it not been for the protection of Avalon, he might have been dead already.
"Rider!!!"
Finally snapping out of his shock, Waver realized what had just happened. Lelouch had used his Geass on him, and all three of his Command Spells were now gone.
"Cough…"
Hearing a weak coughing sound, Waver looked over at his fallen Servant.
The once-pristine white imperial garb that Rider wore was now stained with blood, and the man himself was lying on the ground, struggling for breath as if he might die at any moment.
"What… just happened?"
Still unable to comprehend the situation, Waver was in shock.
"You deserved it! This is your punishment!!" Jounouchi shouted triumphantly.
Although it seemed like his enemies had somehow survived, he wasn't deterred and continued to taunt them.
Time Wizard might not have great physical strength, but its ability was immensely powerful. It performed a "gamble" that, when successful, unleashed a devastating attack that could deal fatal damage to all nearby enemies.
It wasn't an "instant death" attack, but one that dealt "lethal" damage. In other words, Time Wizard could deliver an attack capable of killing any opponent who lacked a protective ability.
Even powerful Servants like Berserker and Gilgamesh could have been killed by the attack if they hadn't reacted in time. Both had used their life-saving abilities and Noble Phantasms to survive what would have been a fatal strike.
Though they had survived, none of them were in their previous condition.
Kiritsugu, watching from a distance, had seen the whole thing unfold, and cold sweat trickled down his face.
Caster's little creature had almost killed every single Servant.
He had previously thought Berserker and Archer were the strongest, but now it was clear—Caster was the real threat here.
That kind of magic and those summoned creatures were beyond anything he had ever heard of.
And thank goodness he had retreated earlier; otherwise, he might have been caught in the blast.
Sweat dripped down his face. It had been a long time since Kiritsugu had felt this level of fear.
"The plan to take down Lancer…"
"It seems it's ended in failure."
Having come to that conclusion, he was just about to call Saber back.
With such severe injuries, even the King of Knights couldn't possibly continue fighting in peak condition.
"Huh?"
It was only then that he noticed something strange—
Saber and Assassin's injuries… something wasn't right.
"What… is this?!"

PS:
Time Wizard's ability involves flipping a coin, and if successful, it destroys all of the opponent's monsters.
In this fanfic, that ability has been translated into an attack that deals "lethal damage" to all enemy Servants.
To simplify: If a Servant's health is 100%, then Time Wizard's attack deals 100% of that health in damage.
It can be mitigated, blocked, or tanked if a Servant has life-saving abilities, damage-reducing skills, or if they can endure more damage than they have health points.
For example, Kenshin would have died instantly if not for Avalon. Lelouch, on the other hand, barely survived by burning all three of Waver's Command Spells.
