You all must be wondering how I ended up in this situation. Let's do a little rewind...

I'm stirring the sauce on the stove, humming quietly to myself when a knock at the door interrupts me. Wiping my hands on the nearest towel, I walk over to open it, not expecting much. But there they are—three of the cheekiest faces I've ever seen: Yuyu, Lan, and Honey. Each of them wears a smile that spells trouble in capital letters, and they hold a fancy box of chocolates as if it's a peace offering.

"Well, hello there," I say, leaning out into the hallway to see if maybe, just maybe, their mothers are hiding nearby. No luck. They're alone.

"Get aside, let us in," Yuyu commands, marching straight past me into the apartment as if she owns the place.
