Boom!
An explosion echoed across the battlefield.
The Mizukage, controlled by Madara, had exploded. Perhaps the heat point temperature was so high that no trace of blood remained; his body turned to ashes, leaving only a faint burnt smell in the air.
Silence fell over the battlefield.
The ninjas of Konoha and Kirigakure, who were in retreat, stopped, unable to avoid directing their gazes toward the center of the scene.
There, a depression several kilometers wide opened, with ravines and intersecting crevices. The Mizukage had completely disappeared, and in his place was only Luo Lei, floating in the air.
"So in the end, they were just a pair of ordinary Sharingans?" he murmured as he examined the two Mangekyō Sharingans in his hands, which had now lost their power, turning into mere Sharingans.
He stored them calmly.
Madara had taken control of the Mizukage, and that was something he didn't expect.
But from the moment he dared to join this battle... his end was already sealed.
"Have we... won?"
"Madara...? Is he really dead?"
"It looks like it! LOOK! THE MIZUKAGE IS GONE!"
"Hahaha! Lord Luo Lei is amazing! Even Madara was defeated!"
"There's no one like him!"
A few seconds later, the battlefield filled with cheers.
The Konoha ninjas recovered from the initial shock, and an outburst of joy spread among them. The Uchiha clan members, in particular, raised their fists in the air, cheering fervently, their faces lit up with a mix of pride and relief.
"Well..."
From the rear, Futian watched it all with a cold smile on his lips. "He lost to Lord Hashirama in the past, and now he's been defeated by Luo Lei," he murmured, his voice filled with satisfaction. "This is truly fitting retribution. In the end, fate always collects its debts."
….
On the other side of the battlefield.
"Ah... The Mizukage-sama...? Looks like he's dead..." murmured one of the Kirigakure ninjas, his voice filled with despair.
"What should we do now?"
"Why don't we retreat? Luo Lei is a monster. If we keep fighting, we'll definitely be annihilated..." said another, desperation evident in his tone as he looked around for support.
"Stop fighting, I'm going back to Kirigakure," someone else shouted, unable to contain the panic.
The Kirigakure team ninjas began to retreat in disorder. The battle between Madara and Luo Lei had shattered any remnants of courage in their hearts.
Fear gnawed at them from within, causing their bodies to tremble uncontrollably.
'How are we supposed to face him...?' Mahoraga thought, his face twisted with uncertainty. He bared his sharp teeth as his words betrayed the fear in his voice. "If even Madara Uchiha has been killed, then it's best to retreat right now!"
"Uh, yes!" someone else shouted. "Luo Lei's strength is terrifying. Not even the complete Susanoo could withstand it! How strong is that man...?"
Yagura, who had tried to keep his composure, swallowed hard. He gritted his teeth, trying to control the terror within him, and finally gave the order. "Everyone retreat! Now!"
However, before they could complete their retreat, a voice echoed from the sky above them.
"Are you trying to flee...?"
The sound of a whistle cut through their retreat, and in a flash, Luo Lei's body appeared in the sky, blocking the retreat of the Kirigakure ninjas who had already managed to advance several kilometers.
Calmly, he declared, "I've defeated Madara today, and I'm in a good mood. If you want to survive, just squat down with your hands on your heads."
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
The order fell like thunder.
Before Yagura or anyone else could even respond, over 2,000 Kirigakure ninjas obeyed without hesitation. They dropped to the ground, squatted down, and placed their hands on their heads.
There was no other choice.
Everyone knew Luo Lei's reputation: ruthless and bloodthirsty. On any battlefield where he appeared, thousands of ninjas ended up dead in his wake.
They knew that if he said he was in a good mood, it was their only chance to get out alive. There was no room for hesitation, not for a second.
"What...? All of you?!" Yagura looked at the scene, stunned.
He couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"What the hell...? More than 2,000 ninjas surrendering all at once?"
This was ridiculous. Cowards!
"After all, we are Kirigakure ninjas! We should be able to endure a little more, even if just for a few more seconds!" he shouted, unable to accept the mass surrender of his men.
Whistle!
In the next moment they thought that, Yagura and the others didn't hesitate. Without thinking too much, they crouched down on the ground, with their heads between their hands.
To survive, that was enough: hold their heads and squat.
It wasn't a bad deal if it meant staying alive.
...
However, there were some who didn't squat. They stood frozen, their minds completely blank, watching as the others surrendered immediately.
How could they just do this? Shouldn't they at least hesitate, resist a little?
"Doesn't matter!" one of them finally shouted, giving in to the pressure. "Hold your head, squat, and surrender!"
"Uh!" the others nodded. After a moment of uncertainty, the remaining ones also decided to hold their heads and squat on the ground.
But... Luo Lei watched the scene and shook his head. His eyes glowed with a red light as he said coldly, "Well, looks like I'm in a bad mood again..."
"I-I need to do something!" shouted one of the ninjas, reacting first. With chakra surging through his body, he quickly formed a seal. "Jutsu: Hiding in the Mist!"
Fwoosh!
In the next instant, a thick mist spread rapidly, covering those who remained.
However, to Luo Lei's vision, this was almost useless. Nothing could escape his sight.
Fwoosh!
A second later, the bodies of those who performed the jutsu were torn apart, disintegrated by his heat vision without resistance.
"How...? How is this possible?" stammered one of the remaining ninjas, his eyes wide open, looking in horror. "The mist... It doesn't work at all!"
Seeing their comrades die, the survivors' expressions changed. Without thinking further, they began to run, fleeing in disorder.
From their perspective, Luo Lei was a demon, a capricious monster, a madman whose mood changed from one moment to the next.
First, he said he was in a good mood, then he was in a bad mood. It was madness.
An implacable monster.
"AAAAAAH! RUN!"
"ESCAPE, ESCAPE NOW!"
Bang!
Heart-wrenching screams echoed as the ninjas tried to flee. One by one, those who attempted to escape fell, their bodies exploding without any hope of survival.
"We won!"
"Hahaha, we've won!"
On the battlefield of the Land of Waves, Konoha's troops rushed to the site, shouting with excitement and joy. Seeing the Kirigakure troops, all kneeling with their hands on their heads, they couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with euphoria.
They looked at Luo Lei, floating in the air, and could only see him as what he was: a god.
"What else can we say...?" murmured one of the Konoha ninjas, his eyes filled with awe and reverence. "If it weren't for Luo Lei, we would've already lost this Battle of the Land of Waves."
Now, not only had they defeated the legendary Madara Uchiha, but they had also forced the Kirigakure team to surrender, to carefully hold their heads and kneel.
Luo Lei was the eternal god.
