Land of Grass
In the heart of the Konoha army camp, the largest tent stood imposingly.
Inside, an unusual scene was unfolding.
"Luo Lei-sama...", Rin Nohara murmured, her voice barely a whisper.
With trembling hands, she carefully poured a glass of water for Luo Lei. Then, with slow but nervous movements, she positioned herself behind him and began to massage his tense shoulders.
The young kunoichi had not yet recovered from the shock.
After the crushing victory over the Iwagakure army, Luo Lei had expressed his desire to have a personal assistant. Jiraiya, always astute, caught the hint instantly. Upon seeing Rin, he ordered her to take care of all of Luo Lei's needs, from serving him tea and water to taking care of his clothes, meals, and daily comfort.
Rin's heart was racing, still impressed by how fierce and dominant Luo Lei was on the battlefield.
Her mind couldn't stop reliving those scenes of total domination.
"Harder...", Luo Lei ordered, his eyes closed in apparent relaxation. "Don't be like those outside. You're mine now, you don't have to be so nervous".
After his victory over the Iwagakure forces, Luo Lei had given himself over to rest and leisure, ignoring all meetings and strategies. No one in the Konoha army dared to question him.
"Y-yes, of course", Rin responded, surprised. At 17, she increased the pressure of her small hands on Luo Lei's muscles.
"Mmm, that's better...", he murmured with a slight smile curving his lips.
How unexpected happiness could be. A simple gesture, and they had provided him with a personal servant.
However, his keen perception did not miss a crucial detail. In a corner, not far from the tent, he could clearly sense the presence of Kakashi and Obito, crouched and observing in silence, their emotions a mixture of amazement, jealousy, and concern.
....
"Three hours..."
Obito muttered in frustration. "Kakashi, what should we do? Night has fallen and Rin still hasn't come out of that tent in three hours".
Kakashi, with his dead gaze blinking slowly, "Don't worry. Luo Lei-san won't do anything inappropriate to Rin. Besides, now that Luo Lei-san is the undisputed superhero of our village, the fact that Rin is serving him tea and water is a unique opportunity for her".
After a pause, he added in a softer tone: "Think about it, Obito. Don't you prefer Rin to be here, safe, instead of facing the dangers of the battlefield?"
"But what about Minato-sensei?", Obito questioned, desperately seeking an alternative.
Kakashi shook his head. "Minato-sensei is strong, but at this moment, I prefer to trust Luo Lei-san. In case of imminent danger, Minato-sensei might not arrive in time, and our strength is insignificant in comparison. Luo Lei-san is our best bet for Rin's safety".
Kakashi's words made an impact on him. "You're right... our strength is really insignificant in comparison", he admitted with an anguished expression. However, an unsettling feeling persisted in his heart, something he couldn't clearly identify or express.
"She's safe", Kakashi insisted, trying to console his friend. "Think about Rin's age. Luo Lei-san only needs someone to serve him tea and water. You don't have to worry about anything else".
"Okay... okay", Obito conceded reluctantly, the mention of Rin's age momentarily appeasing his fears.
Suddenly, his eyes lit up with an idea. "That man, Kakashi", he exclaimed, "He went to see Luo Lei-sama and so Rin will have to come out".
"It could work", Kakashi responded, his expression turning serious. "Also, I've heard that some Konoha ninjas are preparing to evacuate the Land of Grass and head to the next battlefield."
....
On the other side of the tent
"Little Rin, you can retire to rest"
Luo Lei ordered with a smile, sensing Shikaku's hesitation outside the tent. "Come in!", he exclaimed jovially.
"The door is open. I don't like to be kept waiting".
"Yes, Luo Lei-sama", Rin responded, casting a last furtive glance at Luo Lei before leaving, her face tinged with an intense blush.
"Luo Lei-sama!" Shikaku entered, ignoring Rin who was leaving, with a forced smile on his face. "Congratulations on your new feat. Once again, your name resounds throughout the world".
"Spare me the flattery", Luo Lei interrupted, arching an eyebrow with disdain. "If you have something to say, say it. I don't have time for games".
"Ah...", Shikaku hesitated, his smile faltering. "The Konoha army led by Tsunade-sama was defeated by Kumogakure in the Land of Yuno. Jiraiya-sama and Minato have already left with some ninjas as reinforcement. Soon we will bring more shinobi, leaving only a small force here in the Land of Grass, in case Iwagakure tries to counterattack".
"Oh? Is that so?", Luo Lei with a predatory smile spreading across his face. "Then I won't be left behind. I'll go 'support' Tsunade and personally take care of Kumogakure. After all, I'm the hero everyone needs, aren't I?"
Shikaku's expression hardened, fear evident in his eyes. Luo Lei's smile, far from being reassuring, chilled his blood.
He remembered how he had reprimanded Jiraiya and Minato dozens of times, but in front of Luo Lei, all his cunning and wisdom vanished.
He understood that in the face of absolute power, caution could be his death sentence. One wrong move, and he could be eliminated and his death attributed to others, without even having the chance to defend himself.
"Speak at once...", Luo Lei growled impatiently. His eyes flashed with a dangerous glint. "If you have nothing to say, get out. I have more important things to do than listen to your babbling".
Shikaku, swallowing hard, gathered courage. "Luo Lei-sama, the Hokage wishes for you to head to the Land of Waves. The situation there is... complicated". He pulled out a scroll with trembling hands. "Hokage-sama asked me to deliver this to you personally".
"The Land of Waves?", Taking the scroll, his eyes scanning its contents. A predatory smile drew on his lips. "Well... the Shadow Clone Jutsu. How generous of Hiruzen".
Luo Lei remembered how, in his days in ANBU, he had repeatedly requested to learn this jutsu. Hiruzen always refused, arguing that it was dangerous for those without large chakra reserves. 'How convenient that now they offer it to me on a silver platter', he thought.
"With multiple clones under the moonlight... oh, this will be good", Luo Lei murmured with his eyes shining.
Shikaku, noticing the change in Luo Lei's expression, hurried to add: "The Hokage-sama also promises to hand over the Scroll of Seals for a period after the war".
"Well, well", he purred with his eyes narrowed in satisfaction. "Tell Hiruzen he has played his cards well. I am... pleased. Tomorrow I will depart for the Land of Waves. After all, what would this war be without its greatest hero?".
"Yes, Luo Lei-sama", Shikaku responded, exhaling a barely contained sigh of relief. He turned to leave, grateful to have survived the encounter.
It's just that the invisible pressure Luo Lei exerts is really too great and he can't bear it.
Once alone, Luo Lei murmured: "Oh, Hiruzen, always so predictable. The Scroll of Seals... those Forbidden Techniques will be mine". His smile turned sinister. "And if you decide not to keep your promise... well, I'll take what I want, with or without your permission. After all, who could stop me?".
