Lucius sank into the plush mattress with a contented sigh, his body finally surrendering to the day's fatigue. "Ah, I feel so tired now," he murmured, shifting slightly before resting his head in Layla's lap.

She sat gracefully beside him, her fingers instinctively threading through his hair in soothing strokes.

"Did you enjoy spending time with your father and nephew?" Layla asked softly, her voice carrying a warm note of curiosity.

Lucius closed his eyes, letting the comfort of the moment envelop him. "I did," he replied, his lips curving into a small smile. "Your suggestion for this trip was nothing short of perfect. It gave me a chance to bond with them in ways I hadn't imagined. I feel... lighter, somehow."

"I'm glad," she whispered, her fingers threading in his hair. "Close your eyes," she then urged.

Lucius quirked a brow, a playful glint in his eyes. "Are you going to sing me a lullaby?" he teased.
