If you'd prefer, I can decline again, but it might strain our relationship with him," Aiden explained in a professional yet a cautious tone.

Lucius, who had been silently observing from nearby, caught the entire exchange.

"Inform your client that Layla will attend the dinner. There's no need for him to worry," Lucius interjected firmly.

Layla turned to him with wide eyes, silently questioning his abrupt decision with a pointed gesture.
