"I am in love with Lucius!" She dropped her hands slowly to her side while smiling brightly.

The confession reverberated in the air. She wanted it to hold back for a while, but her inner voice told her not to stop herself from letting out her real feelings for Lucius.

Earlier, when he asked her to say those three words, she didn't and noticed how sad he had turned.

Though he didn't complain about it, she felt guilty for not keeping the man happy, who for her happiness was fighting the entire world. She didn't want to be selfish in love when she truly knew how her heart felt for Lucius.

"Layla," Lucius called out her name in a soft tone. "What did you just say?" He couldn't believe his ears as he held her arm to make her turn to him.

"I love you, Lucius. I love you," Layla repeated. "I'm sorry for making you wait for so long," she whispered.
