"What?" Greyson looked shocked when he heard the strong rejection from Hazel. He narrowed his eyes dangerously, but his daughter didn't flinch at all.
Her reaction was rather weird, because his daughter usually would have teary eyes under his sharp glare, but the young woman before him was even dare to look at him in the eyes. There was no shred of fear.
She didn't feel like the daughter that he knew.
"What did you say? Repeat that."
Since it was an order, Hazel repeated her answer clearly. "No. I am not going to wear the dress."
Greyson's face turned red because of how livid he was. "How dare you!" He raised his hand and struck down so hard, he forgot that she was pregnant.
Yet, to his dismay, Hazel dodged the attack and put distance between them. Her eyes turned slightly darker, they filled with rage that Greyson didn't recognize. It actually startled him.
