Capítulo 28: Nessa's Words

The massive beast charged, its speed defying its size. Its claws dug into the earth with every step, metal teeth gleaming under the pale light. 

Kaleb's heart raced, as the sheer weight of the beast's presence unsettled him. His muscles tensed, ready to spring into action, but before he could react Cassie dashed past him. 

"Cassie, wait!" he yelled, his hand reaching out, but she was gone, a flash of steel in her grip. 

But it was too late. She moved like a blur.

With her blade drawn, her eyes locked onto the beast with a lethal focus. She closed the distance in a heartbeat, her blade flashing as she swung it toward the creature's outstretched neck with deadly intent, her blade gleaming as it arced toward the beast's throat.

The impact rang out, a harsh, metallic clang. Her bounced off the creature's obsidian fur as if she'd struck solid iron, the force ricocheting through her arm.
