Capítulo 97: The Prince's Plan

Rache's attention was focused outside of the tent's thin fabric, listening to the howling winds that had grown even more wild and fierce in the past two days.

A shiver passed through her.

The cold wasn't something she was unused to. No. She had plenty of that at the castle from its constant draft.

This was different, though.

She'd been in this tent, in that tiny, enclosed area for too long, with that man who kept it warmer and did not offer any respite. Donncahd. She felt as though she were being strangled in their small, shared space.

The feeling wasn't unlike being caught up in the arms of an enemy that was squeezing tighter, a pressure slowly closing in, intent to suffocate and harm.

But that also had something to do with the fact that his arms were literally around her.

It made sense.

The situation hadn't gotten any better, and so the way she had to stay warm was the same as the last night.
