Capítulo 46: The Prince's Bed

She'd never been in this bed before. Not to sleep, at least.

It was huge, with dark silk sheets that felt cool to the touch.

Rache glanced at Donncahd. He sat at the edge of the bed, flipping the pages of a book, completely uninterested in her.

It made her nervous. He didn't care at all. He wasn't interested in her presence.

He'd made it clear that he wasn't going to treat her like a real wife. She wasn't his princess in any way.

She was simply there.

And she had no idea what to do next.

She should probably try to sleep.

It was the logical next step.

And her body needed it. Pulling an all-nighter in her fragile body was just not an option. Even in an emergency it would exact a very heavy toll to try that. If she was exhausted, she wouldn't even be able to get out of the room.

If she kept pushing herself pointlessly until she collapsed, she'd spend her whole time in this castle on bed rest until it was too late.
