That morning, four hours before the competition officially began, Von and the others were gathered inside their house, ready for their equipment upgrade, brimming with anticipation.

"Finally, we're getting our upgrades!" Lydia said, grinning ear to ear. "I can't wait to see what you've forged for me. Hopefully, something Gold-tier! I won't accept anything less that hides my beauty either."

As usual, Nyx was quick to retort. "Of course you'd rely on equipment because you're weak."

"Shut up," Lydia shot back, hissing.

Von chuckled, glancing at Horizon, who had been busy for days. "It looks like you've really put your heart into these upgrades, holed up in the Forge Studio for over a week."
