Elara grunted, hauling Amara's limp body toward the nearest exit, her frustration mounting with every step. "Why is she so heavy? She's tiny! Does sarcasm weigh that much?"

[Stop complaining. You're about to get a front-row seat to the chaos that is her brain.]

Elara paused mid-step, squinting at the air where the System's voice seemed to emanate. "What do you mean, her brain? Are we going to do some kind of oh no. No, no, no. I'm not doing some Inception nonsense right now."

[Too late. Initiating mindscape entry in three, two—]

The world spun violently, as if someone had taken the universe, shaken it like a snow globe, and then punted it across a football field.

When Elara opened her eyes, she was standing in a vast, swirling expanse of white nothingness. Chains stretched endlessly into the void, locking onto something too far away to see.

"Oh, great," she muttered. "I'm in the mental version of a Tim Burton movie."
