When Amara awoke the next morning, it took a few hazy moments for reality to set in. She opened her eyes, blinking against the morning light . Her mind, still foggy, registered the warm presence beside her before the realization hit her like a splash of cold water.

Elara was there, curled up against her, golden hair fanned across the pillow, and a gentle smile tugging at her lips even as she slept. The memories of the previous night flooded back, and Amara felt a mix of surprise and undeniable happiness.
