Rest cast healing magic on Cedric, mending his injuries. Cedric, not understanding why, glared at Rest with rage.

"Don't you dare… mock me! Don't you pity me, you worthless filth!"

"Pity? No. You're mistaken."

Rest sneered, launching a *Fireball* directly at Cedric's chest.

"Guh!"

"This isn't mercy. If I paid you back for everything you did to me all at once, you'd die far too quickly. I'm healing you so I can return everything you did to me, bit by bit."

Once again, Rest cast healing magic, ensuring Cedric was fully restored.

"Payback… for what?"

"Seventy-five. Do you know what that number means, Cedric?"

"Huh?"

Cedric's face twisted in confusion. As expected, he didn't understand.

"Seventy-five is the number of different types of magic you cast on me over the four years since I was taken in by the Evern family until I was rescued by the Rosemarie family."
