Capítulo 11: Two Months Pregnant

"Sir, did you hear me?" Alaric walked closer, thinking Landon didn't hear him the first time. He repeated his words. "Miss Leblanc suddenly collapsed, and your mother asked you to go to the hospital."

"Alaric, am I doctor?"

Alaric was dumbfounded. "No, sir."

"Then why are they urging me to go to the hospital?"

"But your mother and Miss Leblanc..."

"Enough, Alaric!" Landon raised his voice, shooting him a glance that had his secretary shutting his mouth. "The one who's paying you is me, not my mother. And as for Yvonne, the doctors at the hospital didn't become doctors, so they have to call me to come over."

"Understood, sir."

Alaric chanced a look at his boss and sighed in relief when his boss didn't glare at him anymore. He almost lost his job just now. If he had said one more word, the word 'you're fired' would come out of Landon's lips.
