Ariel couldn't believe what she had just heard.

Was this female doctor being serious at the moment?

How was she supposed to reply to that right now?

"Um, I - I-"

"That's enough!" Aiden suddenly growled, slapping his hand on top of the desk, startling both Ariel and the doctor.

Ariel turned her face to him, confused.

Why was he suddenly getting angry?

"Oh, I'm sorry if I've crossed the line, Mr. Chaz; I just thought since it's a fake and loveless marriage, the both of you would be free to do whatever you wanted," Doc. Carla apologized.

Ariel saw sense in what the doctor had said. It was true; their contract clearly stated that each had no right to interfere in the other's business.

So, why was he acting strange?
