Capítulo 40: Turning The Tide (2)

The group tried to jump Kenji, but Kenji was already ten steps ahead.

"Let's defeat this thing first, then we can work this out later." Kenji said, he wasn't stupid enough to waste his Mana here or have them do the same.

The group slowed down, but the tensions between them was still very high, Kenji wasn't sure if his little gamble would work, but he couldn't think of anything else.

It wasn't like he wasn't confident in turning the situation around or defeating the group before him, but, it would just be a total waste of his Mana.

"And how are we sure you're not going to kill it?" One of the group members asked, with his hands still pointed at Kenji.

"Well, if I kill it, you have the backing of an entire army, including yourself, how powerful do you think I am? I am just a kid." Kenji said, adding that last part to further solidify his facade.
