I put on the black dress that Beta Luca had gotten me yesterday, before him and Alpha Krimson left town to take care of business in another pack.

The top clung to my body, defining my shape while the skirt flared out, swirling around my knees as I twirled once in front of the murky mirror that didn’t seem to get clean even after the thousand times I had wiped it down.

But nothing could spoil my mood today as I patted my hands through the skirt, feeling the soft fabric slip through my fingers like liquid silk. To say that this was a gorgeous dress would be an understatement…and Beta Luca had given it to me, after several protests, as a present for finishing high school.

Liam might think that he was being sneaky enough by holding the party in his house while his parents were away…but the truth was, Beta Luca knew exactly what was going to happen under his nose and he actually didn’t seem to care.
