Capítulo 35: A Mount

She was right. Night was the time when magical beasts went out to hunt, and staying in that region would be very dangerous. Unlike the regions near the cities where protection was great, we were in the middle of nowhere, and there, there were hardly any people. It would be crazy to try to sleep on the street in that situation. So, we approached the farm.

The house was a reasonable size, all made of wood. It was similar to the houses I saw in the village where I was living, but it was a little bigger. It seemed to be well cared for. The grass around the house was trimmed, which gave us confidence that someone was living there.

I went to the door and knocked a few times. It was late at night, so I figured it would take a while for them to answer, since it was very strange for someone to knock on the door like that. I managed to notice the curtain of the window next to the door open, and a woman's face appeared in the corner of the glass.
