Capítulo 57: THIRSTY CASS

The hot wind fluttered in Caspian's ears, threatening to tear his eardrums apart. 

He could barely hear himself think. All sorts of thoughts and decisions wrestling for space in his mind. Yet one rang true, far louder than any other. 

'I have to kill this damned thing.'

He felt it in his every cell, his need to slay the bat… It was more than just a thirst for survival. There was something deeper, much more primitive and instinctual. 

Caspian was wary of it. But still longed to sate his thirst.

He still held onto the slick black hair that grew around the bat's neck. His arms locked into the dark hair strands that formed the revolting bat's mane. 

The dagger Liam had handed him was still strapped to his waist. He could reach it but feared he'd lose his grip in the process.

So, he tightened the hold his thighs had on the bat's body, then flung his hand behind him and grabbed onto the dagger.
