Capítulo 86: Strong Desires

Valentina hugged her knees to her chest, tears silently streaming down her face as she stared out the window at the moonlit garden below. Her heart ached with worry for Ronan and the rest of her family.

The world was going to shit because of Ronan's action, and it was destroying everything.

She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block out the frightening thoughts, but they kept creeping back in. What if the ritual kills Ronan? What if it gets worse? What if they have to leave the home they grew up in and be condemned from the world forever? A quiet sob escaped her lips.

The soft scrape of her window sliding open made Valentina's eyes fly open. Her body tensed, every muscle coiled and ready to spring into action. Who would be coming through my window at this hour?
