Capítulo 76: A Rabbit

"Val, are you okay?" Sophia and Liz's voices snapped Valentina out of her trance.

"Y-yeah. I am fine," she paused and leaned closer to them. "Did you see him?"

"See who?" Liz looked around in confusion.

Valentina swallowed. Lucian vanished into thin air, and if she told everyone, her brothers would drag her out of the club and would never let her go out again.

Valentina took a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart. "Never mind," she said, forcing a shaky smile. "It was just some guy trying to hit on me."

Sophia and Liz exchanged worried glances but nodded in agreement. "Alright," Sophia said, though her eyes remained suspicious. "Do you want to go back and dance with us now?"

Valentina gave a small nod, grateful for her friends' understanding and eager to divert the focus away from the unsettling encounter. "Yeah, let's go back," she said, her voice gaining a bit of strength. "Dancing sounds good."
