Ronan's world spun as Sophia's whispered request pierced through his resolve.
"Kiss me," she breathed shakily, and he lost all control. Without hesitation, he pressed his lips to hers. The first touch was feather-light, and he was overwhelmed, forgetting how to breathe. His heart raced uncontrollably, even though it was only a brief kiss.
[Something is wrong with my heart.] Ronan said to his wolf, seeking help.
[You are in love, dingbat.] The wolf's reply was blunt.
Sophia's eyes fluttered shut as she leaned into him more, her kiss growing bolder. Her tongue met his hesitantly, and the taste of strawberries filled his senses. He moaned against her lips and gripped her hips tightly, afraid she might vanish if he let go.
"I want you," he growled into her mouth, feeling a flicker of something in her eyes, though he couldn't decipher her emotions or hear her thoughts.
