After training Marco for a while and completing the small tasks assigned by the system, Larson lay comfortably on the Taishi chair.

"There's a ship in the distance!" Plank suddenly shouted, peering through a telescope.

"It's just a boat; there's nothing to make a fuss about," Marco said, rubbing his face.

Plank adjusted the telescope and noticed a golden monkey emblem on the pirate flag. "That pirate flag... seems to belong to the Golden Monkey Pirates."

Marco had heard about this notorious pirate group and grimaced as he said, "Isn't that the crew known for burning, killing, and plundering?"

"It seems like it's them," Plank confirmed.

The captain of the Golden Monkey Pirates had a bounty of only 300 million beli, but his reputation was far more terrifying than those of pirate crews with bounties exceeding 500 million beli. The reason was that the pirates under his command were exceptionally cruel, burning, killing, and looting every island they passed, even harming the elderly and children.

Larson, who was lounging on the chair, opened his eyes and said calmly, "You two, go and deal with this pirate group for me."

"Huh? Us?" Marco was taken aback.

Larson's expression remained unchanged. "What, are you scared?"

Marco shrank his neck, speaking with uncertainty, "They are such cruel pirates. What if we fall into a tiger's mouth by going after them?"

"Who is the sheep and who is the wolf?" Larson replied. "Remember, you are members of the Whitebeard Pirates. If you can't deal with a 300 million beli pirate crew now, I suggest you leave the ship and make other plans—after all, the enemies we will face in the future are much more formidable than this little pirate group in front of us."

In reality, 300 million beli was no longer considered a small bounty in the East Sea, but compared to the Whitebeard Pirates, led by two captains—one with a 1.5 billion beli bounty and the other with 1 billion—it appeared trivial, pale, weak, and pitiful.

Moreover, Larson's words were blunt and even merciless; he wanted Marco and Plank to understand that if they couldn't defeat this pirate crew, there was no point in staying with the Whitebeard Pirates.

For Larson, after training Marco and Plank for so many days and giving them top-tier Devil Fruits, if they couldn't handle a crew with a bounty of 300 million beli, then they were better off not returning.

Marco looked at Whitebeard, wanting to ask his father for assistance. Normally, Whitebeard would stand up for him at such times, but this time, Whitebeard extended a fist toward him and smiled, "Go on. I believe in you."

It was over; it seemed they were in trouble today.

Marco glanced at Plank. "Brother..."

Plank was calmer than Marco because he had made up his mind long ago that as long as he remained on this ship, he could face anything.

"Come on, Marco!"

Marco gritted his teeth and jumped in. After all, they were just a pirate crew—there was nothing to be afraid of!

He had just fought against someone with a bounty of 1 billion beli!

"Okay, let's go!"

Larson grinned. "No matter whether the other side resists or not, no one will be spared. Remember, I want the head of that pirate captain."

His reasoning was to let Marco and Plank truly see bloodshed. Additionally, since the opposing crew was known for their evil deeds, there would be no psychological burden when it came to defeating them.

On the Golden Monkey Pirates' ship, the pirate responsible for reconnaissance noticed the approaching vessel.

"Boss, a pirate ship was spotted not far ahead!"

Upon hearing this, the captain of the Golden Monkey Pirates couldn't help but laugh and said, "Just in time; my hands have been itching for an operation."

"No, that's not good!" The scout sounded terrified, as though he had seen something horrific.

"What happened?" the captain asked, confusion written across his face.

With a clatter, the telescope slipped from the scout's grasp and crashed to the ground as he fell, panic evident in his demeanor. "Pirate ship... it's a pirate ship..."

The captain furrowed his brow, curious about what could frighten his subordinate so much.

He picked up the fallen telescope and looked out at the ship. Indeed, a pirate ship was visible not far away. It was smaller than their own vessel, resembling a small pirate crew. He smiled disdainfully and was about to put the telescope down, but the flag on the pirate ship caught his eye. Instantly, his expression changed drastically, and he finally understood why his crew member was so scared.

"Captain..."

The captain of the Golden Monkey Pirates turned around and shouted desperately, "Turn around! Turn around quickly! We must not go any further!"

Since the end of a battle with the Navy, the Whitebeard Pirates had already gained recognition. Captain Whitebeard had a bounty of 1.5 billion beli, and Vice-Captain Larson was offered a bounty of 1 billion beli. In this day and age, only one group reached such an overlord level—only the Whitebeard Pirates had such bounties!

Most people in the East Sea could recognize that flag.

The captain of the Golden Monkey Pirates was filled with dread as he pondered their bad luck. Now they had stumbled upon such a powerful pirate group in the East China Sea. Fortunately, they were still far away; as long as they turned around and fled, nothing would happen. Even if the Whitebeard Pirates wanted to chase them, they wouldn't catch them over such a long distance.

Watching the pirate ship turn and distance itself, the Golden Monkey Pirates' captain let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh no, Captain!"

"What now?" the captain asked reflexively.

The scout pointed at a small green dot in the distance, trembling. "There seems to be someone flying over there!"

"Nani?"

The captain quickly checked through the telescope again, and sure enough, he saw a young man with cyan wings soaring toward them—except unlike the scout's report, the young man was carrying someone!

"No, they're targeting us."

"What should we do, Captain?" the pirates began to panic. After all, 1.5 billion beli was a bounty that a crew with just 300 million beli could not afford to offend.

The captain felt anxious, unsure of what action to take!

The other crew was clearly advancing toward them. What was their purpose? Resistance?

Could they possibly resist?

They likely didn't have enough strength for a fight and would only end up surrendering...

The captain looked at the pirates around him. "Listen to my orders later. Just do what you see me do, understand?"

"Understood."

The surrounding pirates quickly nodded in agreement.

Usually, they intimidated others, but it was their first time witnessing another pirate crew look so frightened.

High in the sky, Marco asked, "Why did they turn around? Did they discover us?"

Gangplank replied, "It doesn't matter if they did. Just drop me down later; I'll draw fire from the front."

"Got it."

When they reached the sky above the Golden Monkey Pirates, Marco released his grip, and Gangplank fell heavily from the sky. With a loud crash, he landed on the pirate ship.

As Gangplank hit the deck, he immediately covered himself in diamonds, leaving only his eyes exposed.

Just as he braced himself for an attack from the surrounding pirates, a pirate with an ingratiating demeanor approached him and said, "Um, are you from the Whitebeard Pirates?"
