"Yes, young lord. How can I help you?" she asked, bowing slightly.

"Lead me to the treasury," I said, my tone authoritative and cold.

"Yes, young lord," she agreed and began walking ahead of me.

"Please follow me," she said as she led me.

After about 5 minutes of walking, we arrived before a wall. She touched it, causing it to open as she walked ahead.

We crossed more hidden doors as we continued downward. After another 5 minutes, we finally arrived before a large stone doorway at the entrance of the treasury.

The treasury had a large stone doorway hidden in a quiet courtyard, with two guards standing in front of it, wearing bright golden armor. Their faces were hidden by helmets, but their eyes were sharp. Each held a long spear, ready for action. The stone door behind them was carved with symbols, indicating the importance of what lay inside.

"Good morning, young lord," the guards greeted me with enthusiasm, excitement, and joy in their eyes, which caused me to raise an eyebrow.

"You may raise your heads," I said, my tone cold as I looked at them.

"Yes, young lord," they replied, lifting their heads.

"Are you here to choose your cultivation technique, young lord?" one of the guards asked, his tone curious.

"Yes. Now open the door for me," I said. They nodded in agreement, having been informed earlier by Ancestor Jiang that the young lord would be coming.

They then opened the large stone doorway. The door creaked as it opened, indicating its age.

The underground treasury was a large, clean room with a high ceiling. Tall bookshelves lined one side, filled with scrolls and books. One corner held stacks of gold coins and bars. Another corner had piles of high-quality spiritual ore.

Display cases on the floor showcased rare herbs and powerful artifacts. The air was quiet, with a faint smell of old books and treasure.

As I walked inside, I noticed that the maid who led me here didn't enter with me, which meant only I could go inside.

"Damn, just look at those shining stones and herbs. They must be precious," I thought, admiring the ores and herbs in the display cases.

[These items are rare enough to spark a war if even one were to leave this treasury.] The usually silent system commented, which didn't surprise me since this was the Shung family's treasury, one of the strongest families.
