MONICA'S POV
It was late in the afternoon the next day when Brenda, Vikylou, and I arrived at Armand's maternal home. The house was quiet, and as we walked in, we found Aileen, her husband Cedric, and their children Linda and Japeth, along with Mark, having what seemed like a late breakfast. They all looked up in surprise when we entered.
Mark immediately stood up to greet us, but I raised my hand, stopping him mid-motion. "Don't bother," I said firmly. "I'm just here to speak my mind for a few minutes, and then I'll leave."
Aileen let out a small snicker, and I could see Cedric's eyes narrow, glinting with irritation. But I didn't flinch. I had come here with a purpose, and I wasn't going to let their reactions deter me.
I took a deep breath and made my announcement, my voice steady and unyielding. "Gregory Marks is dead."
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
