Capítulo 57: North Bound

Three days later they headed to the airport to fly back to the states. Cora stood at the entryway to the house and kissed Jared's forehead. She reminded him not to be too hard on Antione and not to forget to feed on schedule so his instincts couldn't get out of control.

She worried because Jared was a literal tank now and she knew if he got going only she would be able to calm him. Cora couldn't do that from three thousand miles away. Her parting message was for Antione. She told him if the worst happens to get out of the way and not to try to interfere. Cora didn't want to see Antione hurt.

Cora had laughed before turning to Margo. She told her mate that she hoped she didn't overpay for the house since it wouldn't survive. Margo swallowed hard but didn't reply. Antione started laughing at the look on Margo's face. Cora climbed into the car shaking her head and they were off.
