Capítulo 19: The Job

Cora walked into the office taking a quick glance around. At first glance it was like any other wealthy penthouse type business office. The walls were a mixture of dark wood paneling and cream paint. The offices were glass walled and large with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city. Right in front of her in the center of the space was a large wooden paneled reception desk with a receptionist sitting diligently behind it looking at her expectantly. Cora had never heard of a night receptionist before.

Cora stepped forward and smiled politely. "I am Cora Mann; it is my first day here."

"Of course, Miss Mann. Right this way." The woman motioned for Cora to follow her.

Cora cringed at her last name. "Just Cora please. You are?"
