TL/N: WARNING THIS CHAPTER HAS SOME SPOILERS ON HOW THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR DECIDED TO WRITE THIS AND SOME OF HIS IDEAS BUT DON'T WORRY THEY ARE NOT THAT BIG OF SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE ALREADY READ LOTM.
Hello everyone, thank you all for reading this book. At the beginning of this book, I would like to introduce myself and give a general idea of this book's concept.
I have previously written two somewhat successful works (well, at least they didn't flop). My author level is also about to reach level four. I'm sharing this information to assure you that I have experience in completing a book and that I take writing seriously. You can feel confident about diving into this book. Although my skills are limited, I am committed to writing this book well. If there are any shortcomings, I ask for your understanding.
I really like the book "The Lord of the Mysteries." I just completed my third read-through before the New Year, which inspired me to write a fanfiction of "The Lord of the Mysteries." But which pathway to choose? The "Seer" pathway is definitely not an option as it would conflict with "Mr. Fool." The Goddess of the Night has always been a positive figure (though she has planned and participated in many conspiracies) and is the true deity of the "Sleepless" pathway. Unless a god war occurs and the goddess falls, this pathway is unlikely to stand out. The "Sailor," "Spectator," "Reader," "Singer," and "Secret Supplicant" pathways are similarly awkward, which is a problem Emperor Roselle once faced. So, I can only choose a pathway without a true deity for growth potential. The "Assassin" pathway is definitely not an option because it would eventually turn the protagonist female, which would be extremely awkward. As for the "Hunter" pathway, it's too easy to die at the "Provoker" stage. I also need to avoid pathways polluted by Outer Gods, such as the "Mother" and "Moon" pathways. After much consideration, the "Lawyer" or "Arbitrator" pathways seem the most suitable. However, since Hugh is already an Arbitrator, the protagonist has to choose the "Lawyer" pathway. This way, when the protagonist becomes an ancient one, Miss Xio can still advance to Sequence 1.
But a new problem arises: how to advance to Black Emperor without harming Emperor Roselle? Fortunately, at the end of the first volume of "The Lord of the Mysteries," "Mr. Fool" becomes a half-ancient one and acquires the wrong authority from Amon, creating a lot of room for maneuver. However, the specific methods will remain a mystery for now. o( ̄▽ ̄)d
Some readers of my previous two books might be supporting this one. Old readers will know that although my skills may be limited, my fanfictions won't make people feel awkward. This is because I respect the original work enough and am willing to patiently recreate it on its foundation.
Regarding updates, before the book goes on sale, there will be two updates per day (because we have to wait for recommendations, which is standard). After it goes on sale, there will be three updates per day, with occasional additional updates. Extra updates will be added when the number of monthly tickets, recommendation tickets, or rewards reaches a certain amount, or when readers contribute to the book.
In the past two years, even when I had COVID, I didn't stop updating. So, updates are guaranteed. I could write more chapters per day, but that would likely result in filler content, a common problem in many fanfictions. Although I'm not a famous writer, I am also a reader, so I am reluctant to do that. I will also strive to maintain quality in the later stages.
Finally, I want to thank Mr. Squid for his support. I also want to thank all the readers. Your comments, votes, and rewards are ways to motivate me.
