Antonio turned
away from Olivia, dismissing her with a finality that made it clear he was done
discussing the matter. He heard her huff in frustration, but she didn't follow
him as he walked to his desk and began sorting through the papers scattered
there, using the task as a way to steady his mind.
For a
moment, the room was filled with the tense silence of unresolved conflict.
Antonio could feel Olivia's gaze boring into his back, but he refused to
acknowledge her. He knew she was suspicious, but he couldn't let her see that
he suspected her. Not until he had proof.
Finally,
after what felt like an eternity, Olivia let out a sharp breath and turned to
leave. "This is inhumane, Antonio," she said quietly, her voice trembling with
barely contained anger. "You can't keep shutting me out."

I really appreciate you love towards my first book. Your collections and power stones are a motivation and I'm really grateful for them. I've seen your reviews and I'm working hard on making the story get better as the chapters unfold.
Please do well to send me gifts, it'll motivate me to upload more than a chapter per day
