Capítulo 57: Fake mate

Zen sighed before answering, "As the current wolf king I have a lot of support from my pack. Some of the elders think that because I have been procrastinating with getting married that it's been having a negative influence on the younger members. They will say things like the wolf king is my age and he isn't married yet so the elders of the tribe have been on my case to choose a mate."

"So you're saying you want to present me as your fake mate?"

"Yes. We are werewolves that change only on nights of an eclipse. Another lunar eclipse is around the corner and I will have to go home while we are in the badlands. So, since you can't be there alone, I will have no choice but to take you with me to the Stark Tribe. My followers have reasons to distrust outsiders, presenting you as my mate would put an end to unnecessary questions and will give you safe passage amongst my tribe."

"Morgan said earlier that your inner wolf chose me, is that true?"
