Back at Morville Castle, Herschel used a wet towel to wipe Layla's forehead. The girl's body was wracked by a sudden, burning fever.

"Chaos, change this towel and bring more," Herschel ordered, squeezing out water from the towel he was holding. It had been too sudden; the little girl, who had been sleeping, was now burning hot with fever.

Chaos dropped the new water he had brought beside Herschel and packed the wet towels before dashing out of the room, afraid for Layla's life. The girl was still a child, and it was normal for her to fall sick after everything that had happened around them in the past few days.

When Chaos returned to the room with newer towels, he dropped them beside Herschel, then ran to the fireplace, adding more wood and fanning the burning coals for more flames.

"Is she going to be alright?" Chaos asked, then leaned closer, blowing with his mouth.
