Hereon couldn't believe his eyes, the shock of the sight that was before him caused made his body to involuntary shudder. His breath caught in his throat, and he trembled as he watched the person in front of him.

He had killed Jason, he watched as the mana bullet went through his heart, he watched him crumple onto the ground, dead.

Yet this same person stood in the distance, standing as if time had stopped. The very same person Hereon thought was dead.

Jason – someone he had killed out of spite and an order from the clan – was alive.

The last time he had seen Jason was in the cavern, a gaping hole in his chest and his body lying in a pool of blood, his own blood.

He was lifeless at that time. Hereon watched him fall onto the ground.

Somehow he was still alive.

And stronger than he was before.

'This can't be real.' Hereon's mind raced. 'I watched him-'

His thoughts were interrupted by Zane's voice.
