Chapter 29: The Realm of Nihility.
Huo Yuhao found himself in strange yet familiar surroundings—the dream space of the Nihility, the place where he bid his final farewell to his dragon friend, Alarion.
(An: Let me remind you. Alarion, the [White Dragon of Nihility], gave Yuhao everything that belonged to him: blood essence, [Corrupt Light], and finally, the authority of [Nihility].)
The Realm of Nihility belonged to Yuhao the moment Alarion entered the Nihility Core and became a part of it. The Realm of Nihility is a realm of dreams, a metaphysical place that exists outside the realms of reality.
Huo Yuhao could guess why he was pulled into it. The integration of [Honkai Circuits] with the [Stigma of Finality] in his soul caused his consciousness to teeter between the dream and real world.
The Realm of Nihility pulled him here to protect him, and he would wake up when the operation was done. He lay in the shallow 'water' in the Realm of Nihility in silence.
"Hmm, maybe silence is not that bad," he said as he closed his eyes, enjoying the quietness of the realm.
A few moments passed by, and he felt a pull from outside the [Realm of Nihility], signaling him that the process was done and he could return to the real world at any time.
"Yawn, that was a very good power nap. Thanks for pulling me here. Let's meet again when I am strong enough to get the authority of the [Nihility]." He waved his hand, and the realm answered with silence.
He shook his head and disappeared from the realm, ready to wake up in the real world. Silence permeated through the realm with the core of Nihility lighting the whole realm.

Inside the [Sage's Cave], Huo Yuhao was lying on the hard ground with his eyes closed.
"He was supposed to wake up by now. Did something go wrong with the process? Do I have to reset his time and try again?" the tuna asked the golden string beside her with an anxious tone.
Ellie didn't 'answer' the tuna and just continued twirling in the air. What? They failed the operation? That is not possible in the first place, because she, Ellie, is the best at everything.
A couple of moments passed by, and just when Kiana was about to reset Yuhao's time, he stirred awake.
He opened his eyes and sat up on the ground. He stretched his arms to their limit before rubbing his sleepy eyes and letting out a lazy yawn.
(An: Bro, I started feeling sleepy just from writing this scene.)
"Looks like the operation was successful," Yuhao said as he stared at his hands. He felt the pathways in his entire body and soul, indicating that the circuits had been successfully integrated and his body was not rejecting their presence.
"It should be. I integrated all the pathways to the [Stigma of Finality]. What you are currently feeling is Honkai energy flowing through your entire body without corrupting it," said the tuna.
She found the concept of [Honkai Circuits] quite interesting and wondered if they had something like that in her world. Would she have been able to save it? She thought for a moment and shook her head to get rid of the useless thoughts.
Huo Yuhao continued to explore the versatility of his new circuits, and his 『Skill Creation Essence』, which had been quiet after the monster massacre, notified him with:
『Skill [Honkai Circuits] has been acquired. 』
『Skill [Honkai Circuits]: Metaphysical pathways that allow access to and usage of all types of energy, like Qi/soul power/Ki/Mana/etc.』

『Skill [Honkai Energy Manipulation] has been acquired. 』
『Honkai Circuits preserved the original base function of the [Sage Circuit]. 』
『The user only has to know and imagine the magic that he wants to use, and the circuits will do the calculation and cast the spell that the user imagined. 』
Needless to say, the [Honkai Circuits] were broken and would allow him to gain control over Herrscher powers a lot faster than planned, which was a good thing.
And he gained something else:

"Hmm, on second thought, let's upgrade the skills that I have right now. I'm saving up for a broken skill, but it's not currently needed," he said as he started upgrading his skills using skill points.

"Hmm, I don't have many skill points left. I wanted to condense my two soul rings for [Monster Slime] Martial Soul, but I need more skill points for the process," he said as he stood up from the ground and cleaned his clothes.
"Hmm, did you find out how to imprint skills on soul rings, Yuhao?" the tuna asked with a curious tone.
Huo Yuhao used [All of Creation] to understand the concept of condensing blood rings from his [White Dragon of Nihility] Martial Soul. His goal was to use energy from the atmosphere to condense soul rings that fit the martial soul to a tee.
He figured out how to condense the soul ring using energy from the atmosphere, but he couldn't find a way to imprint skills on the soul rings. This meant that they carried no skill and were just blank soul rings with no use at all—well, that was until now.
"Yeah, you can say that I gained inspiration before blacking out during the [Honkai Circuit] operation," he said, and now he could condense his two soul rings for [Monster Slime] and use skills imprinted from the 『Skill Creation Essence』.
What? Why was he not condensing skills from his own Martial Soul and using skills gained from the Essence? Well, he had a cheat, and he was going to use it. Simple as that.
He had two skills in mind that were going to fit his [Monster Slime] Martial Soul like a glove. It would also help him in creating his organization and allow it to grow swiftly.
He also gained knowledge on how to create and implement energy circuits into someone. [All of Creation] allowed someone to understand any visible phenomenon that he had some information on.
It gave him the potential to basically learn anything as long as he could handle it. He used it during the integration process of [Honkai Circuits], and now he gained the knowledge of integrating energy circuits into living bodies.
"Man, I feel like I have to change my last name to Einzbern, hahaha," he made a silly joke as he made his way to the wall in front of him.
"What are you doing, Yuhao?" the tuna asked as she watched Yuhao walk straight to the wall. Did the operation make him dumb or something?
Huo Yuhao simply ignored the rude thought of the tuna in his head and placed his hand on the wall. A golden magic circle appeared on the wall. This was the final legacy of the Sage.
You thought the [Magic Circuits] were the Sage's final legacy? You were mistaken. How can a Sage that liked flexing not have a trick up his sleeve? His final legacy was in space, and the magic circle engraved on the wall is its location.
As to what was his final legacy? Well, it was a golden giant mecha that had the power to destroy a planet. Why was there such a thing? And why is it sealed in outer space? You ask with a confused look on your face, and I answer with the same confused look on my face. Well, I don't know.
(An: That part was in the light novel. It was basically bad plot by the original author to give the OG protagonist and his team a reason to go to outer space. But I have a certain use for it in the future.)
The golden magic circle shone brightly inside the cave, illuminating it, and started hovering in the air. It stood in front of Yuhao, who raised his right hand in front of the magic circle. It shrank in size and implanted itself on the top of Yuhao's hand, forming a golden compass tattoo on it before going invisible.
"That was kind of cool," commented the tuna in the Stigma Space as she brought out popcorn from somewhere and started eating. Yuhao agreed with her and made his way towards the skeleton of the Sage.
He stood in front of the skeleton with a complex gaze on his face. He finally sighed and summoned his [Monster Slime] Martial Soul and processed it. He activated [Predator], as black tendrils appeared from the palm of his hand and started consuming the skeleton.
"Thank you for everything, Zenovis (the Sage's name). I hope you reach your family in heaven. May you rest in peace," Yuhao noted as [Predator] finished consuming the skeleton.
(An: For those who forgot, I got you.)
[Predator] is one of the innate abilities of his [Monster Slime] Martial Soul, giving him a lot of sub-skills. The one he was currently using is [Predation], which allows him to gain the skills and magic of others.
They gained what they wanted, and now it is time to leave the cave. Huo Yuhao made his way towards the exit while reading the ['The Sage's Book']. The book had all the knowledge the Sage had acquired during his lifetime, and boy, did he know a lot of things.
Herbology, anatomy, magic, blacksmithing, metallurgy, farming, mining, trading, etc. He knew a lot of things worthy of his title, Pioneer. And that knowledge was now in the hands of Huo Yuhao.

It took longer than usual to exit the cave, and that was because Yuhao wanted to see if there were any more legacies left inside the cave by the Sage, but unfortunately, there were none left. He took them all.
"Ah, finally some fresh air," he said as he breathed in a large amount of fresh air to fill his lungs. The air inside the cave was moist and stale, and it made him feel claustrophobic.
A few moments passed by, and he turned his gaze towards the cave entrance. He cast an illusion on the cave so it appeared invisible to monsters and humans. That was his final gift to the Sage to leave his final resting place untouched.
"Status," he muttered and watched a dark screen with golden text appear in front of him.

Phew, this chapter is about 2.2k words without the author's note. It is a bit shorter than usual. I don't know why, but I didn't really feel like writing a chapter today, but I powered through it.
