Capítulo 4: 4 . WE ARE NOT THE MURDERERS

I never knew this would turn out like this. Such an enraged girl. It wasn't supposed to turn out like this now we're freaking stuck somewhere, I don't even knew what place it is. No light, no people. I was having a sense of foreboding. I thought this gift might bring us close to eachother, but now I don't want anything with her she ain't falling for me. Someday like this she might will kill me.
"Now listen girl you better think of something just because of you we're fucking stuck here". I was done now I was so fucking much hungry and she's responsible she had to do something.
"Uh-um can you see the car over there". She pointed towards the car at a long distance from us. "It's the only hope I'm seeing maybe it's there for us only like a help from God". She stood up . "Come on let's go there and check out".
"You sure"I asked.
"Do you have any better idea". She again forced a smile. Oh I was hating us both, me because I thought it would be easy, and her, well for everything.
"Come on" we started walking towards the car.
"I'm sorry"she said, like her sorry will take us back home. I didn't reply. We reached the car. It was a clean black car we couldn't see inside maybe she's right it's a help , whatever I just wanted to go home.
She opened the driving seat door. We screamed our lungs out and ran wherever we could go just away from the car. We ran and ran and ran until we saw traffic road.
"What the freak" we both stopped panting.
"A freaking dead body what was that thing doing there" she said her body shivering so as mine. There was a women dead in the car it didn't looked like a car accident more like a murder but that wasn't our case to look over we just had to run.
"Like I know. But you were right that was a help from God, we can at least go home now".
"But that looked like a murder I thi-"
"What, what the heck you wanna do now send us to prison you know how dangerous is it to get involved in a murder case like this, if she would be alive we could help but she's fucking dead. And please do whatever you wanna do leave me alone don't get me involve I don't wanna get involve with you ok, I hope you understand the shit". I just said whatever I felt at that moment.
"Yeah" she stood beside me totally understood. Good she didn't protest but I think my way was wrong but whatever I said was correct otherwise she wouldn't have shut her mouth, though I felt bad her birthday got ruined like that even though it was her fault still.

We reached the restaurant and ate a fancy dinner but not so fancy both of our moods were ruined, but most of all we were scared. The dead body image never leaving my mind and I knew it was the same case with Adriana the way she was quietly eating her birthday dinner. Which was supposed to be a good memory for her but it turns out a scary memory.
"Do you think the women's ghost would be here with us right now, maybe she'll haunt us". I said those things for fun just to cheer up the mood I wasn't the guy who could get scared easily but a dead body like that was too much still I was trying to relax myself and her.
She looked up, her chestnuts eyes full of fear. "Are you crazy stop it, don't scare me you know it can be real she can come with us"
"But there's no clear point of her haunting us she was dead before we saw her so maybe she's haunting the person who killed her"
"Really" she was really taking me serious but that was good for her it could help both of us.
"Yes, now we're done I think we should leave or-".
"Don't" I didn't knew a girl like her would be a scaredy cat.
After reaching home, We both went showering I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep today that lady is for real gonna haunt me in my dream. I changed into my night suite and lay on my bed as i heard someone knocking my door is it that women or, Wait don't tell me Addie coming to sleep with me. I opened the door.
It was her holding her pillow.
"I just wanted to ask permission if I can sleep in your room I can't sleep alone in my room I won't be able to sleep all night and if not that I'm gonna have nightmare if that lady haunting me I know there's no point of her but still she's go-" she was saying continuously in one breath.
"Alright alright I'm not saying no you can but I have a pillow here why you have your own?"
"It's for holding" she came inside as i locked the door again.
"You can hold me" she looked at me frowning.
"Excuse me" she excused and sat on the sofa.
"Wait don't tell me you're sleeping there" what the fish she's frying.
"Where else I'm gonna sleep don't get ahead of yourself I'm just here because I'm scared I'm not here to share bed with you". I didn't said anything and slept on bed. It was my room I wasn't that gentleman guy who would ask her girl to sleep on bed also a girl like her with an acerbic mouth and she wasn't my girl.

We both were having breakfast quietly, we heard the bell ringing continuously no ones opening.
"Where's mr.davis?" I asked he seemed to be nowhere.
"He's cleaning the storeroom you go check". Addie said as she took her dishes to kitchen.
I opened the door and my blood stopped circulating.
"Where is the girl who was with you last night" the police officer said I didn't knew why he was here but i knew this could be related to that women.
"Can you tell me why you are you here officer". My heart beated loudly against my chest. Fuck this shit actually happening.
"This you'll know but you people have to come with us, oh here the girl is. This is gonna go long I can see that". He said as Addie came from behind sweat forming on her forehead.
"But we aren't related to that murder officer we don't know anything about it". Oh fuck she's gonna get me in trouble with herself but I couldn't blame her the situation was something she and I never faced before. Yeah police officers at my place were relatable but murder case I've never met with something like what was happening.
"Oh nice you people know what's the case now cooperate or we're gonna have to-".
"Alright we're coming" we did nothing so there was no point of us getting scared but I was confuse about so many things so many questions roaming inside my head.
"What what are you saying we did nothing" Addie panicked.
"Nothing will happen just know you didn't do anything and everything will work out ok" I tried to relax her a bit and I was right she was overreacting like always. She stood there like a dumb statue maybe she was confused like me, like how they got to know about us? what's the murder case? what will happen now? Why they think we are involved in this murder case?.
"Miss it'll be better if you come now" the officer said, she didn't argue and we went with the officers.We both sat quietly until the officer came.
"So last night there happened to be a murder at a bit distance from rosherville reserve park, oh wait you both already know right" the officer was talking about the same murder that we both witnessed last night.
"But officer were both not related to the murder".we weren't and I just wanted to get outta this mess they had no proves because they can't have any proves.
"Oh really but I think you both are murderer". Adriana gasped loudly I don't know what's going inside her head maybe she already declared herself the murderer.
"Sir you got no prove we did the murder and we have no relation with that lady, means no point of us murdering her". She completed, oh I was wrong she still have some braincells left.
The officer showed us the cctv footage of us both, damn I didn't knew there were cctv cameras.
"Well unluckily we only got this footage there were no cameras around the murder area I mean the car where the corpse was found" the officer said.
"But This doesn't declare we did the murder"I said there was no point in whatever the officer was saying it was all baseless maybe they just wanted to grab anybody serve them in court, give them a life sentence and case closed I don't fucking get this, whatever was happening.
"Mr.stewart last night the murder happened around 8pm, and as we don't have the footage of the other area we're not sure what exactly happened. But around 9pm you both were there roaming in tension, I mean what tension of course the murder tension , then you people can see you both were gesturing towards the car and went that way but unfortunately we didn't received the footage of that area, then we both saw you running somewhere. The point is there seems to be no one expect you both there around the scene of the crime".
"This is baseless so pointless I don't get it how could you bring us over here and straightly saying we're both murderers, oh gosh I haven't killed a mouse in my life and you're talking about the lady". Alright maybe we were close to go home Adriana continued. " you said you saw us both around 9pm and the murder hours was around 8pm, so officer just so you know we both were in restaurant during 8pm time span".oh yeah this is it.
"And even if you're suspicious about what we were doing there we got a whole speech for you even we have booking in the restaurant we can show you everything to make you sure WE ARE NOT THE MURDERES". Oh gosh she's amazing.
