On the darkness continent. In a tower forsaken by the gods.
Salem was now having a nightmare. She was panting with her eyes glowing bloody red.
All the grimm around the tower felt fear and cover and shiver from the anger of their queen.
Salem the queen of grimm didn't need to sleep, eat, or require anything like the mortal does.
But from time to time. As to not forget who she was. She needed to do something that she liked to do in the past when she was just a human.
A loving wife and a gentle mother. She liked to sleep and spend time with her family.
She cried again with the tears of black blood at the thought of how she lost her husband and her beloved daughter.
She pleaded to the gods. but they turn their back on her.
"GOdS!!!"
She hated this word with passion. She will do anything to bring them to their knees.
She was loyal to them but what they gave her back was a curse of immortality and the remnant of humanity that they called failure!
She tried very hard to control herself so she would not be fallen to the gasp of the god of darkness.
Even with this much power, she was still in the mortal realm. She tried so hard to reach the same level as those brother gods.
But no matter how hard she tried, She couldn't break free from the mortal shackle.
"Why! Why can't I break the mortal shackle! Do I really need to destroy everything so I can get the divinity!"
Salem was going on rampage again and the victims were all those grimm in her land.
She grit her teeth before trying to control herself. She was gaining control of herself and thought about something.
"Those who step into this world are not mere mortals. They are god and his followers that need to be purged. Cinder doesn't stand a chance against such beings."
Salem didn't trust Cinder in the first place. She had already planted a parasite grimm into her without her knowing it. She felt and saw everything through her.
She knew that there was an outer god and his followers descended to this world. Even though she hated gods, she wasn't foolish enough to confront them without preparation.
"He is a god but his divinity hasn't awakened yet. If I kill him and steal his divinity. Maybe I can break the mortal shackle and ascend to the realm of gods."
Salem needed a new plan. Cinder was a lost cost now. She didn't need useless pieces. Destroying humanity didn't guarantee that she would achieve divinity, but by killing the young god, she was 100 percent sure she would get divinity.
But which divinity she would get, she would know when she absorbed him.
Salem thought up to this point. Then she knew that she needed a new piece that would do everything for her without a question. And she had that piece right now. Even though it was unstable, she could use it well.
…
At Beacon.
The meeting came to an end.
They knew what would happen if Sullivan and his group didn't interrupt Cinder's plan.
If Cinder's plan came into fruition then there would be hell. People would be killed and Beacon would fall.
James remained silent the whole time. He could only look at Sullivan but he couldn't do anything. Sullivan was now considered to be of the highest level clearance in the military in atlas.
His position was even higher than the general.
All of the systems they had were compromised. In front of his Ai named Javis, the security system they had was just decorations.
'Even an Ai is a god… How ridiculous!'
James really can't do anything right now even if he wanted to. If he ordered his Ace-Ops to investigate him. All of the information would be deleted and the military information would be leaked to those people in mantel who wanted to destroy atlas.
Now he became a general just in name only. The one who was in charged was Sullivan.
"Okay, now I have done many things to prevent the fall of the beacon and stop Cinder's plan. Salem will make a different move from now on. Prepare for the all out war if you could. Atlas will support you 100 percent!"
"....."
Sullivan smiled. James grit his teeth. He still remained silent. He thought that it would be good too If Sullivan took control over atlas.
There were some people he wanted him to get rid of.
'Let see what those old geezer counselors would do. I hope he will wipe them out.'
