Capítulo 35: Chapter 35 – Chimera experiment.

So, after I discover how fun this new ability is as well as its poetical, I kind of spend 3 entire days messing around with it. I will probably spend more days, maybe even week with messing around.

But for now, here are some stuff I found.

The first thing is that the creation process for the chimeras varies, just like skill said.

It may take hour or it may even take few hours or maybe even a day depending on what I'm making.

The chimeras I make can possess some of the skills that its living counterpart had, its bit complicated, but let me give you simple round down.

For example, claw related skills that belong to the specific monster like dugu, you need to add dugu arms or hands, bit simple right?

Anyway, when creating chimeras, there is no limit how many body parts you use from different monster, however there are few things that need to be mentioned.

-Is the chimera using body parts of the same species but different bodies?

-Is the chimera made out of the different body parts belonging to the different species?

Depending on how many bodies I use as well as what kind of bodies I use, the effect will be different.

Not only that, the chimera creation will be much longer and will consume more MP and oh boy, this skill does eat MP. I can supply MP over time, but still, it's a lot.

Anyway, I went to the deeper parts of the forest where nobody was, but just in case I even wore my "Doctor" outfit.

It would have been way bigger tragedy for people to see me in my normal equipment, but fortunately nobody saw me.

Anyway, the chimeras I tested were like this.

[Dugu Chimera 1#]

[Dugu Chimera 2#]

[Dugu Chimera 3#]

The number 1 was an…. Centipede???

Simple put I combined each and every part of the two different dugues. I didn't wasted any leg or anything like that.

I kind of ended with the double dugus that were attached to each other by torso.

The first torso had 4 legs and the upper torso had 4 arms.

I also added the second head.

The number two didn't used extra torso or extra head.

It had 4 legs; I also removed and reattached its original legs in different location.

It also had four arms, but I made it have more shoulders but I didn't add the second head.

The number 3 was the simplest chimera.

It didn't had bonus head. But I did add the torso the same way as number 1,

However, I disassembles its arm and legs into multiple parts and then combined them, making them like very long limbs.

It had 6 claws and extremely long limbs, each and every.

And for the tests.

The number one when crawling was quite fast, but it couldn't turn very fast, making the dugus normal version faster in turning around.

….

No.

To more specifically, combing two torsos like that sucks ass.

Maybe if it was some sort of centipede monsters with a similar part by part body, then it may have worked.

Honestly, I even think about something like a long and giant centipede made out of the human torsos combined together and stuff…. I wonder how would that work?

Em…. Anyway, the two torso thing sucked ass completely and it only got in its way. It did made chimera faster, but only in running in straight line.

As for attacks? Well, if it bend, like the part between the torsos, it can attack pretty well, however it leaves a blind spot from behind that can be easily exploited.

As for the double heads, honestly it was both good and bad.

The good was the chimera had better view and could spot enemy easier. Not only that, I kind of thought that each head would try to dominate the control, like for example both heads wanted to do different thing but ended up hindering each other. Maybe because it's not two monsters but one undead monster?

However, having multiple heads also have down sides.

One of downsides is additional weak spot.

Or other example is the shape change as well as making body slightly heavier that could influence the body balance.

There are also some other problems by having multiple heads, but also benefits.

So, I don't really know if I will use it often or not.

For dugues, they have one giant eye that is good enough, even better than humans.

The dugues fangs were also not bad, but not good enough either.

Having two heads kind of made them get in each other way in biting, probably because of their human like necks. If they had necks from different species then maybe, but it could also not fit with their body, meaning that the plan have high chance of failing and may even instead make the chimera heads more vulnerable.

So pretty much, the dugues chimera sucks with 2 dugues heads and they are instead weaking it, they bring more downsides than upsides.

Next come number 2.

And oh boy, this guy had many problems.

The most annoying problem is lack of power.

The chimera didn't had enough strength to use all of its limbs at the same time.

It was walking slower and its claw attacks had harder time hitting and were much slower and weaker.

The four legs had multiple benefits like walking in different directions and speeding up, but because of the lack of strength it was only able to do that for 1 to 2 seconds. The four legs had also different benefit as well as downsides, BUT!

There is one mayor downsides.

By having the legs made like this, literally losing one leg would dangerously damage monsters movement and balance. Kind of like the table with one legs in each corer, but now having one of its legs removed, destroying the balance.

The chimera 3.

This guy…. Well like number two didn't had enough strength.

The limbs were too big and too heavy for it to use properly.

It was able to move them, well barely to be specific.

Not only that, the dugues limbs are not fit for combing with each other. Those limbs straight up became a new weak point for the chimera.

The chimera 2 and 3 were total failures for two reason.

The first was that the dugues body parts were not fit for the task, pretty much ruining the entire body.

And the second was dugues body wasn't meant to have that kind of body. Simply put, the way the extra body parts were put didn't fit and not only that, the chimera didn't had enough strength to use them.

The best one was number 1, but he also had many problems.

Well, I did learned something at least.

Each body part can affect body in different way.

For example.

Let's say I have some sort of giant snake monster as well as an orc body.

I remove legs and snake head and then combine the lower part of the snake with orc AND it should work in theory. Both the snake and orc parts.

So, with that in mind, I maybe could change some smaller parts of the monster, like for example combing the two torsos together by cutting parts from it and then forming in combined form.

Maybe if I break some body parts into smaller parts between two species and combine them this way, I maybe will get a chimera with 100% ability of both monsters without much of sides downs?

However, this is just theory that has yet to be proven.

So, yea.

I need to make a body that can work properly if I want to make even useful chimera in the first place. I need to learn how to make a chimera that can properly walk, attack and other stuff.

So, nothing like a goblin with a legs and arms of a freaking giants or vice versa.

In short, I need to experiment a lot and see why some stuff works while some does not and maybe find out that maybe the reason why the chimera bodies I made didn't worked properly or maybe because the different reason than I thought of. Its highly likely possibility, since right now I only assumed that it didn't worked since it looked like to that it didn't had enough strength to move its own body. Is it because of the stats? Or maybe the body structure? I need to find out.

To confirm if my theory is wrong or correct, I need to experiment and I mean like a lot.

It will definitely take shit tons of time learning how to make a proper chimera before I can make one that can actually fight.

However, dugues corpse are not enough. I need corpse of the different monsters.

I need to combine dugues corpses with different species as well as see how other corpses work with their own species corpse parts. Maybe some species can handle having an extra pair of arms or wings without any trouble, who knows?

But before I continue, I need to say something.

[Chimera Creation] is strong like hell.

I ended up creating 3 failures in the row, but I could see the poetical of this skill more and more.

This is kind of getting scary and exciting.

Once I get hang of it and understand how to create a proper chimera, I may even create some really scary monsters.

However, beside the research and materials that are needed to improve and help me learn the art of chimera making, I need to invest points into [Mana], [Necro Mastery] and [Taming Mastery].

Why?

Well because this class straight up requires it like a lot!

And honestly speaking, this class may become my current main combat class considering its poetical.

But of course, before I can even use it, it will required shit tons of learning, materials and stats points.

….

However, isn't this also exciting?

I mean, an army of the deadly chimeras monsters going on the rampage under my command.

And if we add the plague on top of that, won't that make a killer combo?

Fuck me!

I really want to go on fuking rampage and see how well they do in order to learn stuff as well as experiment using the real battle.

I REALLY AND I MEAN REALLY WANT TO LET LOSE!

….

But I know I will get fucked again and then crushed, so yea. I will not do it.

The hard cold reality had already bitch slapped me once after I got greedy and over confided like a third rated villain

So, I will wait even a freaking year if I have in order to prepare enough.

…..

However, that doesn't mean I shouldn't do some public experiments in between, right?

I don't think anybody would mind if I sacrifices this city in order to test out my chimeras while also collecting humanoid bodies for my experiments.

But obviously not now... But maybe in the future? Who knows?
