"I'll be taking my leave, Master Lysandra"
The butler, Wilfred said, adjusting his pristine white gloves one final time as he bowed low before Lysandra.
She nodded, her silver-grey eyes meeting his for a moment before she returned the gesture with a slight nod.
"Thank you for your service tonight, Wilfred. Have a good night"
Wilfred straightened and offered her a small but respectful nod before making his way to the exit.
The heavy door shut behind him with a soft click, leaving Lysandra all alone in her office.
She waited, her head tilted toward the antique clock on the far wall.
Five minutes. Just five minutes and she could finally breathe.
For the entirety of that period, she sat there in silence and then she glanced down at her wristwatch to confirm the time before releasing a long, deep groan of relief.
"Uuughhh…"
And thus concludes the VOL.1 of Arcanas.
I won’t lie, it’s been a hectic road getting here. At first, I thought I’d end it at chapter 50. And at some point I even considered dropping the book, but thanks to your support I pushed past that and continued to dish out more chapters.
Despite its challenges, I enjoyed writing the last couple of chapters. Not because I can finally put an end to it. No! But because I'm satisfied with what I've written and the characters I've drawn up.
Instead of giving Conrad random missions in every chapter, I thought I'd take a different route and focus more on character development. This did effect my world building a bit but VOL.2 is where I plan to make up for it. Stay tuned!
Anyways that's all I have to say. Thank you for supporting Arcanas.
See you in volume 2
