Capítulo 37: My Day

Conrad groaned at his phone's alarm. With a heavy hand, he fumbled to silence it. Brought it closer to his face and then squinted at the blue screen through sleepy eyes. 

The time was 05h00 in the morning. The usual time he woke up. 

"Ugh…another early morning" 

He mumbled while dropping his head back onto the pillow for just a few seconds before jolting himself up. 

"I've been doing this for more than a year now… shouldn't I at least feel a little more awake by now?" 

The room was empty, so he was talking to himself. That was if someone wasn't monitoring him without his knowledge. That was possible in this line of work. 

Even so, the prospect of snoozing back to sleep tempted him for a bit, but he knew better than that. Yesterday had been a long day, but that didn't mean he had to break his daily routine. 

"Why can't being an avatar remove my need to sleep… eating would be best too"
