The next time Lara saw the light, she was in a different location; this time, it seemed like they had brought her to a residential house.

She looked around to see it fully furnished, but by the time she could look more, her attention was taken by the sound of heavy footsteps coming down the stairs.

She stood in complete silence as she watched the person come down, her eyes bulged out when she saw the person's face. "Uncle Mark!"

"Hello, little girl." The man replied with a hint of teasing. She was beyond shocked, Uncle Mark. Wasn't he the first person to fall when the Kays had fallen in the last life? But his presence here could only mean one of two things.

One he was the mastermind or an accomplice. She followed the older man as he walked down the stairs and took a seat in the living room.

"Take a seat !" He said in a commanding voice. Normally, Lara would have protested, but she was too shocked to react in any way.
