Capítulo 21: The Next Step

INT. ANAKIN'S HOVEL - MAIN ROOM - Night

The dimly lit room was filled with the quiet hum of makeshift machinery and the soft glow of flickering lights. Anakin Skywalker sat across from Qui-Gon Jinn, his eyes wide with curiosity. The mysterious visitor had sparked countless questions in his young mind, questions he could no longer keep to himself.

Anakin: "I...I was wondering...something..." he began hesitantly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Qui-Gon: "What?" Qui-Gon replied, leaning forward slightly, his expression patient and encouraging.

Anakin took a deep breath, gathering his courage. "Well, ahhh...you're a Jedi Knight, aren't you?"

Qui-Gon's eyes twinkled with amusement as he leaned back, a faint smile playing on his lips. "What makes you think that?"

"I saw your laser sword. Only Jedi carry that kind of weapon," Anakin explained, his tone filled with a mixture of awe and certainty.

Qui-Gon chuckled softly, contemplating the boy's observation. "Perhaps I killed a Jedi and stole it from him," he suggested, a playful glint in his eye.

Anakin shook his head vehemently. "I don't think so... No one can kill a Jedi Knight."

The smile faded from Qui-Gon's face, replaced by a look of solemnity. "I wish that were so..." he murmured, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness.

Undeterred, Anakin pressed on. "I had a dream I was a Jedi. I came back here and freed all the slaves... Have you come to free us?"

Qui-Gon sighed, shaking his head. "No, I'm afraid not..."

Anakin's eyes narrowed with determination. "I think you have...why else would you be here?"

Qui-Gon studied the boy for a moment, recognizing the spark of potential and unyielding spirit within him. He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "I can see there's no fooling you... You mustn't let anyone know about us...we're on our way to Coruscant, the central system in the Republic, on a very important mission, and it must be kept secret."

Anakin's eyes widened in wonder. "Coruscant...wow...how did you end up here in the outer rim?"

Padmé, who had been quietly observing the exchange, stepped forward. "Our ship was damaged, and we're stranded here until we can repair it."

Anakin's face lit up with excitement. "I can help! I can fix anything!" he exclaimed, his youthful enthusiasm shining through.

Qui-Gon smiled at the boy's eagerness, recognizing the latent potential within him. "I believe you can, but our first job is to acquire the parts we need..."

Suddenly, Obi-Wan reappeared by Gojo's teleportation. Qui-Gon instantly went on guard but then recognized his apprentice. "Obi-Wan! How did you reappear here so suddenly?"

Obi-Wan, wearing his usual humorous and sarcastic expression, began to explain the situation. "Well, Master, it appears our friend Gojo has a knack for unpredictable antics. One moment I was in the middle of... let's just say, things were getting interesting at the Lucky Despot. Gojo decided to start a crazy gambling spree. He bet and won an entire casino, causing chaos and forcing Lady Valarian to gamble away everything she had. Then, he declared himself the new owner of the Lucky Despot. But that's not all—he went so far as to bet me and the Queen in the game!"

Padmé gasped, her eyes widening in shock. "He what?!"

Obi-Wan nodded, continuing. "Yes, he actually put us up as part of his bet. Although he declared himself the winner, the house had other plans. They insisted that 'the house always wins.' Before we could fight every guard in the casino, Gojo teleported me away without any warning. One moment I was preparing to defend myself, and the next I was here."

Qui-Gon, Padmé, and Shmi stared at Obi-Wan in shock and disbelief.

Qui-Gon: "Gambling away an entire casino? And betting you and the Queen? That sounds... unbelievable," he said, struggling to comprehend the situation.

Padmé: "Gojo did what? That man is reckless beyond measure!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of frustration and amazement.

Shmi: "I've never heard of such a thing. This Gojo seems to be as unpredictable as he is powerful," she added, shaking her head in astonishment.

Tooru, in his main body form, laughed heartily at Gojo's antics. "Gojo never fails to surprise, does he?"

Padmé sighed, her expression a mix of regret and frustration. "I should have known better than to let Gojo wander around."

Shmi, standing quietly in the corner, looked confused but intrigued by the sudden turn of events. "This is quite a peculiar group you've brought into our home," she remarked gently.

Qui-Gon, now more at ease, smiled at the unexpected reunion. "It seems our mission continues to take unexpected turns. But we must stay focused. Anakin, let's talk about those parts you mentioned—"

Suddenly, they heard the unmistakable sound of blaster fire and heavy weapons not far from the hovel. The intensity of the noise made everyone tense up.

Qui-Gon: "Stay alert," he commanded, his voice calm but firm. "Be ready for anything, Tooru."

Padmé and Shmi exchanged worried glances, their hearts racing with fear. The sound of blasters echoed through the room, followed by the unmistakable rumble of heavy weapons.

Padmé: "What's happening out there?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Before anyone could respond, the ground beneath them shook violently. An earthquake-like tremor rippled through the hovel, causing tools and parts to clatter to the floor. Everyone grabbed onto something to steady themselves, eyes wide with shock.

Jar Jar Binks, who had been quietly trying to stay out of trouble, yelped in panic, nearly knocking over a stack of tools. "M-mesa thinkin' we in big poodoo now!" he exclaimed, his eyes wide with fear.

Qui-Gon: "This must be Gojo," he said, a mixture of exasperation and realization in his voice.

Obi-Wan: "Only he could cause this much chaos," he agreed, shaking his head in disbelief.

Padmé: "He's going to bring the whole place down!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with both frustration and amazement at Gojo's audacity.

Shmi: "We need to stay safe," she urged, pulling Anakin closer and trying to calm her son.

Anakin looked at Qui-Gon, his eyes filled with a mix of fear and excitement. "What do we do now?"

Qui-Gon: "We wait and be ready," he said, his voice steady despite the chaos outside. "Gojo will handle the situation outside. We must be prepared for whatever comes next."

The sound of blaster fire continued, interspersed with the occasional explosion, shaking the walls of the hovel. The ground trembled again, more violently this time, as if the very fabric of Tatooine was reacting to the immense power being unleashed outside.

Tooru: "Master Satoru does enjoy making an entrance," he said with a smirk, his eyes glinting with respect for Gojo's overwhelming presence.

Everyone remained on high alert, their senses heightened as they awaited the outcome of the chaos outside. The air was thick with tension, and the sounds of battle only served to amplify the anxiety coursing through the small room.

Suddenly, everything quieted down. The abrupt silence was almost deafening, and everyone looked around, confused and cautious.

Just then, there was a knock at the front door. "Anybody home? Halooooooooo," came Gojo's familiar voice, filled with playful nonchalance.

Padmé: "No one home here! No one welcomes you!" she shouted back in frustration, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Qui-Gon gave a small, amused smile. "That certainly sounds like Gojo."

Obi-Wan sighed, shaking his head with a resigned smile. "Always making an entrance, isn't he?"

Shmi: "He certainly knows how to make an impression," she added, her voice a mix of relief and bewilderment.

Gojo then entered, bringing the twins with him. He introduced them to everyone in the room, except Tooru, who already knew them through his clone.

Gojo: "Everyone, meet Suzunami and Yukinami. They're my new disciples."

Padmé suddenly hugged the twins, saying, "They are cute," but then she looked at Gojo and said with playful frustration, "Me and Anakin officially hate you. Anakin called you old man, and I'm going to call you a damn troublemaker." Suzunami and Yukinami, overwhelmed by the unexpected kindness, felt tears well up in their eyes. They had rarely experienced such warmth and affection.

Suzunami tried to blink back the tears but failed, his voice shaky as he murmured, "Thank you..."

Yukinami, clinging to Padmé, sobbed softly, "We... we've never been hugged like this before."

Padmé held them tighter, her eyes softening with compassion. "You're safe now," she whispered. "We're going to take care of you."

Gojo chuckled, taking it in stride. "Well, I'll take that as a compliment."

Obi-Wan, curiosity piqued, asked, "Aren't those the twins you took as part of the bet?"

Qui-Gon raised an eyebrow but remained composed, observing the interaction.

Gojo nodded with a confident grin. "Yes, and I officially own the Lucky Despot now. Let's head over there and see what we can make of it."

Padmé, still holding the twins, couldn't help but smile at Gojo's audacity. "Only you, Gojo, could turn a chaotic situation into a victory," she said, shaking her head in amusement.

Qui-Gon, maintaining his calm demeanor, added, "Let's hope this victory leads to more positive outcomes. We have much to discuss and plan."

Jar Jar, still jittery from the earlier chaos, piped up, "M-mesa not sure if dis is good idea, but mesa followin' you!"

Before they could leave, Gojo turned to Shmi and Anakin. "You have transmitter implants in your bodies, correct?" he asked.

Anakin and Shmi both nodded, a hint of fear in their eyes.

Gojo: "Tooru, remove the transmitters. Let's have some fun," he said confidently.

Tooru stepped forward, using his abilities to locate and remove the transmitters with ease. The process was quick and precise, leaving Anakin and Shmi free from their oppressive constraints.

Anakin and Shmi looked at Gojo with astonishment and gratitude, tears of relief streaming down their faces. "Thank you," Shmi said, her voice trembling. "You've given us a new chance at freedom."

Anakin, eyes wide with awe, added, "I can't believe it. We're really free now."

The room was filled with a sense of hope and anticipation as the group prepared to embark on their next adventure, the newly acquired Lucky Despot awaiting them.

Gojo led the way, his confident stride reflecting his unshakeable resolve. The twins stayed close to Padmé, still basking in the warmth of her kindness. Anakin walked beside Qui-Gon, his eyes shining with hope and curiosity.

Obi-Wan: "Tooru, how did you remove the transmitters?" he asked, curiosity evident in his voice.

Gojo suddenly had an idea, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Ah, looks like we have a crazy show for a while," he said, glancing at the remaining corpses of the enforcers he and Tooru had killed.

Shmi: "Why were the enforcers after you?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern.

Gojo: "Because we four kicked a crazy racer( sebulba) until he passed out," he replied with a laugh.

Tooru then demonstrated his unique ability. He got inside one of the corpses, and it suddenly stood up, its arms and fingers glowing blue. The sight was both eerie and fascinating.

Gojo: "You can say he gets inside your body and removes the transmitters very, very fast," he said, laughing.

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan exchanged resigned, yet amused, looks.

Qui-Gon: "I suppose we'll have to get used to these unusual methods," he said, shaking his head with a smile.

Obi-Wan: "At this point, nothing surprises me anymore," he added with a chuckle.

Padmé watched with a mix of exasperation and amusement. "Gojo, you certainly know how to keep things interesting."

Anakin, though confused, couldn't help but be impressed. "That's so cool!"

Shmi: "Remind us to never get a doctor like you," she said, trying to hide her astonishment with humor.

Jar Jar Binks, who had been nervously fidgeting, saw the corpse stand up and immediately jumped back, eyes wide with terror. "Mesa no liken dis! Mesa thinkin' dis is a bad mojo!" he exclaimed, flailing his arms comically.

The group couldn't help but laugh at Jar Jar's reaction, the tension easing slightly as they continued their journey, now more united and determined than ever, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead as they made their way to the newly acquired Lucky Despot.

As they walked, Obi-Wan realized he hadn't properly introduced himself. He approached Anakin and Shmi, offering a warm smile. "I apologize for not introducing myself earlier. I'm Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon's apprentice."

Anakin: "Nice to meet you, Obi-Wan," Anakin replied, his youthful enthusiasm shining through.

Shmi: "Thank you for your help," Shmi added, her gratitude evident.

Gojo: "Bo hoooo! Monks forget their manners now, do they?" Gojo teased in his usual playful manner.

At the entrance of the Lucky Despot, the group paused, taking in the grandeur of the luxurious casino ship.

Anakin, eyes wide with wonder, turned to Gojo. "Hey, old man, how did you get so strong if you're not a Jedi?"

Gojo, being Gojo, smirked. "Hard work, a lot of practice, and a bit of talent," he replied nonchalantly.

Padmé, curiosity piqued, asked, "What did you do to cause that earthquake? The magnitude was incredible."

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, who were familiar with Gojo's abilities, nodded in agreement, interested in hearing more.

Gojo: "Well, it's all thanks to my curse energy and my Limitless technique," he explained. "By manipulating the infinite energy within me, I can create powerful attacks and defend myself against almost anything. And I already chained multiple Black Flashes to amplify my curse energy."

Padmé and Anakin exchanged curious glances, clearly intrigued by Gojo's explanation.

Padmé: "Could you perhaps give us a demonstration?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Gojo grinned, pleased by their interest. "Sure thing. But first, let me show you something interesting. Suzunami, Yukinami, come here and try to touch my hand."

The twins approached hesitantly, reaching out to touch Gojo's hand. As their fingers neared his skin, they felt a strange, invisible barrier that prevented them from making contact.

Gojo: "What you're feeling is my Infinity. It's like an invisible barrier that slows down anything trying to touch me to an infinite degree, so nothing can actually reach me."

Anakin's eyes widened in amazement. "That's incredible!"

Padmé: "So that's how you protect yourself?" she asked, her voice filled with awe.

Gojo nodded. "Exactly. Now, let me show you a demonstration of my power."

He stepped back and focused, his expression turning serious. The air around him crackled with energy as he summoned his curse energy. With a swift motion, he unleashed a powerful surge of energy that shot into the sky, creating a brilliant blue orb above them, a display of raw power and control.

The group watched in stunned silence, their eyes wide with amazement.

Anakin: "That's so cool! I want to learn how to do that!"

Padmé: "Your abilities are truly extraordinary, Gojo."

Gojo smiled, his usual playful demeanor returning. "Stick with me, and you'll see plenty more. And maybe you'll learn a thing or two along the way."

The twins, still feeling the invisible barrier, looked up at Gojo with admiration.

Suzunami: "Gojo-sensei, you're incredible."

Yukinami: "Thank you for showing us."

Qui-Gon, still puzzled by an earlier encounter, spoke up. "Wait, what about those black lightning strikes when you fought against the droid tanks? It's not part of your technique, is it?"

Gojo nodded, his grin widening. "Ah, those were Black Flashes. It's a skill where my physical strike and cursed energy hit at the exact same time, creating a massive boost in damage. Basically, Black Flash is a distortion in space that happens when cursed energy is applied within 0.000001 seconds of a hit. When done right, the cursed energy flashes black, and the impact is 2.5 times more powerful than a regular hit.

Each time you chain Black Flashes, it boosts your cursed energy output even more. It's incredibly difficult to do consistently—it's not just a technique, it's a skill that requires pinpoint precision. But for someone like me, it's just another trick up my sleeve. After all, I'm Gojo Satoru."

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan listened intently, their expressions a mix of awe and skepticism.

Obi-Wan: "Lightning is often associated with the dark side of the Force, a tool of the Sith. But what you're describing is...different. It's a fascinating skill, to say the least."

Suzunami added, "So anyone can learn Black Flashes and Limitless like you?"

Gojo shook his head, smiling. "Black Flashes are incredibly hard to pull off. No one can make it as simple as I do. It's rare for them to occur at all, let alone consistently. Plus, everyone's technique is different. Usually, a person only has one technique—normal people, that is."

Then Gojo turned to Obi-Wan, his expression more serious. "I've noticed something interesting. When people die, their presence—or energy—seems to linger and float in space."

Obi-Wan, drawing on his Jedi wisdom, considered this. "The Force connects all living things, and it's not surprising that even in death, there are remnants of that energy. What you're describing sounds like a manifestation of lingering emotions and unresolved intentions within the Force. It's fascinating, and perhaps a bit troubling."

Qui-Gon nodded in agreement. "The Force is a complex and mysterious entity. What you're seeing could be echoes of the lives once lived, or perhaps something more. It's worth investigating further."

Gojo, intrigued by their responses, realized the potential intersection between his cursed energy and the Force. "Interesting. It seems there's more to this galaxy than meets the eye. Maybe we'll find some answers along the way."

The group, now more united and informed, continued their journey towards the Lucky Despot, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
