Capítulo 2: The Camp (1)

In the forest, Shoto found himself trapped in a dead-end maze, filled with shadows and sounds that his keen senses picked up with each passing moment. With each step, his heart pounded harder to the rhythm of his quest. Since he decided to use the devil gene to rescue Bakugou and Tokoyami, he embarked on a lonely mission, chasing after the kidnappers.

*noise*

His super hearing picked up the faint rustling of a branch in the distance. Instinctively, he paused, sharpening his perception as he assessed the direction of the sound. He couldn't afford mistakes; every moment lost represented greater risks to his friends.

He felt the wind in his face, rustling through the leaves. He waited a few moments until the sound of breaking branches could be heard again. He saw a shadow move in the darkness, alerting him.

"There you are," he said, smiling as he began to move.

The smile on his face gradually faded, replaced by a look of concentrated seriousness.

Finally, he emerged into a clearing. In front of him stood a figure in a hat and mask. Their gazes met and he knew there was no time for hesitation. With a fluid movement,

His feet moved swiftly among the twisted roots and fallen branches, following the trail he had been tracking with his enhanced senses. The echo of his footsteps echoed through the forest, but Shoto was fully focused on catching up with the villain before it was too late.

"Okay, I'm about to catch up," Todoroki thought as he increased his speed.

Compress realized that Shoto was chasing him. "Damn, what the hell is this kid, is he one of them, weren't they extinct?" thought Compress, fear visible under his mask.

The villain quickened his pace, desperately trying to keep his distance from the determined apprentice hero. Every time he looked back, he saw Shoto gaining ground, driven by a courage that overcame all obstacles.

"I told you, you will not escape," Shoto said firmly, his eyes glowing with the intensity of the Devil Gene as he prepared to attack the enemy.

The villain, now cornered and with no apparent escape, assumed a defensive posture, aware that he was facing an adversary unlike any he had encountered before.

"This could be the end of me," Compress thought as he saw for the first time Todoroki's eyes filled with terror, reflecting a wild flame. Compress felt those eyes pierce him deeply.

Suddenly, screams echoed deep in the forest. The sharp sounds echoed through the trees, breaking the silence and catching Shoto's attention instantly.

The young hero stopped dead in his tracks, his keen senses taking in every detail of the surroundings as he quickly assessed the situation. Shoto turned to the nearest source of the sounds. Unable to identify it, he strained once more until he finally recognized it.

"Yaoyorozu," she muttered under her breath, remembering the voice of her friend and classmate. The anguish of her cries echoed in his mind.

"Looks like someone needs help, doesn't it? Young hero," Compress sneered, his voice mixed mockery and sinister tones.

Shoto's eyes widened, his fists clenched, his face filled with worry and anger.

"Bloody bastard, this isn't over yet! -Shoto shouted, his voice filled with rage as he pointed at the villain. He started running in the direction of the shout as Compress ran away.

[Elsewhere, in another part of the forest.]

"Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it!" shouted a boy as he fled together with a girl, both being chased by a Nomu. The young men were Yaoyorozu and Awase.

They hid behind trees and narrowly escaped, as the Nomu roared in frustration and lost sight of its prey. They were breathing heavily, trying to catch their breath after the intense chase.

Yaoyorozu turned to Awase with a mixture of relief and concern. "We almost got caught! What were we thinking getting into this mess?" he exclaimed, the tension evident in his voice.

Awase, feeling defensive, replied, "I didn't ask for that damn Nomu to come after us! It's not my fault we have to run like rats."

As they blamed each other for their situation, Yaoyorozu clenched her fists, frustrated by Awase's reaction but also aware that they needed to find a solution before the Nomu found them again.

"This will get us nowhere," Yaoyorozu finally said, trying to remain calm as she considered her options. "We need to find a way out of here before it's too late."

"We should move while we have the chance. We don't know how long we can hide here," Yaoyorozu suggested, his voice sounding worried but calm as he watched the Nomu searching for him, like a wolf stalking sheep.

Awase frowned, reluctant. "I'm tired of running. I think we should stay here and wait for the heroes to arrive. We can't risk being discovered again," he replied, his tone reflecting a mixture of caution and frustration.

Yaoyorozu sighed at his response, "The heroes may not arrive in time and we can't completely rely on them. We need to find a solution ourselves," she argued, trying to convince him of the danger of their situation.

"All right," Awase finally sighed, resigned but willing to go along with Yaoyorozu's plan. But how do we get past this Nomu? -he asked nervously.

Yaoyorozu frowned and assessed the situation with determination. "We have to be stealthy and find an opportunity to slip away without being noticed. I think if we stay calm and act quickly, we can make it," he replied.

"All right, follow me," he said as they stood up, Yaoyorozu moved stealthily through the trees of the dense forest, searching for an escape route along with Awase. Each step was calculated and silent, aware of the danger posed by the pursuing Nomu.

However, Awase, in a moment of distraction, stepped on a dry branch, breaking the silence of the night. The sound echoed loudly in the still air, alerting the Nomu lurking a few meters away. The monster turned its head towards them quickly, its bloodshot eyes glowing maliciously as it hunted its prey.

"Damn it!", Awase shouted in anguish, his voice filled with fear. Both young men knew they had been discovered and that time was running out fast.

Before they could react, the Nomu roared ferociously and rushed towards them with surprising speed. Yaoyorozu and Awase barely managed to dodge the attack.

"Awase, we have to fight," Yaoyorozu muttered courageously, quickly pulling items from his body to form defensive and offensive tools.

He nodded earnestly, preparing to use his Gift to fix the Nomu's parts and restrict its movement. "We can't turn back now," he replied, his voice firm despite the fear he felt inside.

"Roooaaar!", the Nomu roared as it lunged at them with sharp claws and brutal force. Yaoyorozu and Awase moved with coordination, using their skills to dodge attacks and counterattack when they had the chance.

The battle was intense and exhausting, but Yaoyorozu and Awase did not give up. With every blow and every move, they moved one step closer to the hope of emerging victorious from this deadly encounter, or so they thought.

Bam!

However, the creature was too fast and too powerful. With one nimble movement, the Nomu caught Awase with a claw, hurling him against a tree with devastating force.

"Awase!" cried Yaoyorozu in horror, watching his companion fall to the ground with a loud thud, leaving him severely injured on the ground.

*Thud!

With a triumphant roar, the Nomu threw Yaoyorozu against a wall. The young heroine felt her body break.

The Nomu stood still for a moment, before deciding to deliver the final blow as it slowly advanced towards Yaoyorozu and Awase, who lay helpless on the ground.

Yaoyorozu, barely conscious, opened her eyes and heard Awase apologize weakly beside her.

"Yaoyorozu, I'm sorry...I couldn't..." he said with a sad smile, tears flowing hard.

"It wasn't... your fault, Awase. We did the best we could, that's what matters," Yaoyorozu said trying to calm down, making him feel good.

As they spoke, the air filled with fear as the Nomu slowly approached, his footsteps echoing louder and louder in the forest.

"But... what are we going to do now?", Awase asked with visible concern. We're at a dead end and I don't see any exit nearby.

Boom!

Before Awase could finish, they felt the area suddenly cool down and heard a loud noise nearby. They opened their eyes in surprise and hope as Todoroki appeared in his demon form, looking at the rising Nomu, leaving the destroyed ground.

"I'll take care of this. Go, I'll cover you," said Todoroki, with a serious face, looking at the two semi-heroes lying on the ground.

Todoroki took a step forward, his eyes fixed on the Nomu rising from the ground amidst the rubble. The air turned icy around him as his demon form fully manifested.

"Tooroki-san! -exclaimed Momo, incredulous at what she saw.

"Is that you, Todoroki?" asked Awase.

Todoroki, in his demon form, turned to Awase with a serious but determined look. His eyes glowed with intensity as he watched the Nomu.

"Yes, it's me. This is your chance, run. I must go save Tokoyami and Bakugou," Todoroki said, before freezing the Nomu's legs to slow it down a bit.

"We got captured," Momo lamented.

"There's no time to dwell on that. We must do as he says and escape quickly," Awase replied.

"Wait, Awase-san," said Momo as she created a tracker. Connect it to the Nomu.

"But what's this? Ahh! Because me!", Awase exclaimed in fright. Hey, don't even think about it!

"Quickly, now that it's frozen, this is our chance. In case the worst happens, this will be a contingency plan", explained Momo.

"Well, okay, I let myself be convinced because you're a pretty girl," said Awase, approaching the Nomu and placing the tracker on his back. It's ready, Yaoyorozu. Now, let's get out of here.

"Yes, let's go," nodded Momo. Then she looked at the boy and added with concern: "Todoroki-san, be careful".

The latter just nodded his head.

The atmosphere was tense as Momo and Awase hurriedly left the place. Meanwhile, Todoroki stood firmly in front of the Nomu, watching the creature's every move, wondering what its next move would be.

The silence of the forest was interrupted by a thunderous crack as the Nomu broke the ice that kept it frozen. Todoroki reacted instantly, adopting a defensive stance as he watched the monster break free. His eyes followed the Nomu's every move with intensity, ready for whatever action it took.

However, instead of attacking again, the Nomu let out a deep growl and scurried off into the trees. Todoroki frowned, puzzled by the enemy's unexpected retreat.

"Damn it, where is it going?" he muttered to himself as he began to follow the Nomu at a safe distance.

Suddenly, he felt the presence of someone. It was Compress. Recognizing the villain, Todoroki's blood began to boil with rage and determination.

Without hesitation, with his Diabolical Gene, which allows him incredible speed, Todoroki closed the distance to Compress in an instant. The villain, accustomed to his mobility advantage and ability to escape, was surprised by the sudden speed and ferocity of the young hero in formation.

"Compress!" Todoroki exclaimed in a deep and determined voice, and his imposing presence filled the space that separated them. This time you will not escape.

Compress took a few steps back, his expression mixed surprise and concern. Although he used to be arrogant and self-assured, the strength now emanating from Todoroki made him feel uncomfortable and vulnerable.

"Todoroki, this is not what I expected," Compress muttered nervously, backing away slowly as he quickly thought of an escape strategy while keeping his distance from the enraged hero.

He strode forward ambitiously, his gaze steady and his steadiness evident as he approached the villain. Every muscle in his body was tense and ready for the confrontation ahead.

"You have caused too much damage," said Todoroki in a low voice but full of conviction and with a smile he added, "Today you will answer for your actions".
