Wang Tae Bin adjusted his tie as he waited backstage, watching Nico step off the podium to a thunderous round of applause.

He clenched his jaw and his fists trembled from rage beside him. This had been Nico's plan all along. Hurt Walk Shop and PathFinder and look good in comparison.

Just like Maria had said, Nico had kept up his assaults and somehow hid his tracks. Public opinion had changed and if he wasn't sure before, he was now. The Eidolon board's opinion had changed too.

Whatever could be said, Nico had utterly killed it. He'd used his presentation to set the bar high. But fortunately for him, it wasn't too high.
