Damien Rook and Lena stood on the outskirts of Vosshelm, a once-thriving city now overrun by the dead. Its towering skyscrapers were cracked and lifeless, and the streets were littered with abandoned vehicles and debris. What used to be a hub of life had become a graveyard, a city that echoed with the memories of those who once lived within its walls.
“We need to get to the cathedral,” Damien said, his eyes fixed on the crumbling spire in the distance. Inside that cathedral lay the Scepter of Aegis, an ancient artifact said to hold the power to repel the undead—a weapon that could turn the tide in the war against the Zombie King.
Lena tightened her grip on her crossbow. “How many do you think are down there?”
“Too many,” Damien replied grimly. “We’ll need to move fast.”
