Capítulo 2: the invitation
Yuuto heads to his kitchen to prepare his dinner , Altho he knows that GOB probably has enough meals for a whole kingdom for an entire era , he doesn't want them because he realizes once he starts eating from it , he will never eat a single human made meal ever , he doesn't want to ruin his taste buds yet.
so he made Sake-poached chicken with soba noodles a simple enough dinner to satisfy his hunger for today
[ A/N :I live in korea yet i only know a few japanese dishes shame on me]
he finishes his dinner and heads to bed with cat by his side poking at his cheeks so he picks it up while thinking ' i will probably be summoned by one of the two princesses tomorrow , i hope to god- , oh right he died , i hope to Gilgamesh , it is Sona , i neither have patience nor self-restraint to deal with that sorry excuse of a spoiled princess'
he end his thoughts process by saying '' remember yuuto not her fault , you have anger issues , she was spoiled ... still please let it be sona"
with these wishes he dozes off to sleep
a night passes and the light of a new day shines on Kuoh town
''RING , RING"
"RING, RING"
An alarm sound in Yuuto's room wakes him from his sleep . as he opens his eyes groggily
"I'm up , I'm up " he says as he shuts down the alarm
as usual he wakes up , makes his own breakfast ,and then leaves, not wanting to be late to hear any lecture from the student council , not that he cares .
on his way to the school he tries to recall the events of the story
" the brown haired moron shouldn't have met the black winged slut yet , meaning the plot hasn't started , but should be coming soon , thankfully i'm one year older than him so i don't have to deal with him" he murmurs with gratitude in the later part.
" though i still sensed those glorified bats last night , so they already made that church their turf , haaah incompetence at it's best , no matter i shouldn't expect much from kids , and spoiled princesses , even though i'm a kid myself" he chucked at the end
reaching the gate of the Kuoh academy , he notices one of the school beauties , Tsubaki Shinra seemingly waiting for him , as soon as her eyes land on him , she smiled a bit , reaching to her , he also smiles a bit , waving and saying
" good morning vice president , you look like you're on the hunt today" he says smirking
Tsubaki's eyes twitch a bit but she shakes it off and say " good morning to you too , golden prince" she grins knowing full well how much he hates that title as apparent on his annoyed face
the golden prince was the title bestowed upon him by the fangirls of the school , due to him having the same name as Yuuto kiba and the same hair , the girls were more than happy to differentiate them by using titles , much to both their annoyance , while Kiba merely disliked the title , our Yuuto hated it to his very core .
"i didn't know that you hold grudges vice pres , not to mention targeting one's weakness as revenge , one would argue that you're a devil under the human facade" he argues back
and again she stiffens " you-" but then she takes a deep breath knowing it pointless to argue with someone who managed to shut down even the teachers so she gets back to her task
"Yuuto Ishiou , president Sona wants to see you , would you please come with me ?" she requests
"lead the way vice pres" he says smiling at his small victory
the two head toward the student council under the murmurs of the other students
arriving at the door , tsubaki knocks saying "president , i've brought him"
"come in" Sona responds
entering the student council , Yuuto looks around and think ' as usual she's very organized , it baffles me how obssessed with order she is , reminds me of someone very annoying' he says recalling his past life roomate but then his attention shifts to Sona who addresses him.
" welcome Ishiou Yuuto , please take a seat , i assume you already know what we're about to disscuss " she says questionably at the end
" i do indeed , so i will save us both the time and say i refuse , becoming a devil isn't something i'm interested in" he rejects fully knowing the headache coming his way because of it.
" now don't be in such a hurry , while you are strong as a human , you should understand the benefits of becoming a dev-" she tries to explain only to be cut by Yuuto saying
" yea yea yeah , i know i know , immortal life , better magic capacity , and better physical capabilities , do not look down on me Sitri , i know everything i need to know about the supernatural races , and i have never said i am human to begin with , you assumed that on you own volition "
if Sona wasn't shocked by the first part his sentence she definitely was by the last part
" not human ? how? you're not a fallen angle nor an angel ? " she asks thinking he's lying to her
" princess, your search scope is too narrow , you should already know that there exits more than just 3 races , but you are somewhat correct , i am part human , the other part or parts , well that's for me to know and for you to find out about" says Yuuto preparing to leave but Sona says hastily
"wait before you leave , can i ask if you are part of any faction ?" to which Yuuto shakes his head much to Sona's relief
" then can i ask you why ? you're clearly aware of them and the benefits it would bring to joing them ?" to which he scoffs at
" benefits? what benefits are there from being on the side of glorrified pigeons , puppets who barely have any semblance of emotions or desires , or do you mean the charcoaled bats who just because they cut their strings, were cast out , and now trying to destroy any semblance of religion to spite their creator , and surely you don't mean the morons of the yokai race , who are led by the fox and the low life Nurarihyon , those who join this faction will surely get affected by their stupidity , so no thank you , who am i left with , ah yes the pesky gods who think they are above everyone just because they have divinity" he says as Sona and Tsubaki watch him the curse all the great factions in the world without a care

"He-h-hey Yuuto i think i get it , no need to get so negative " Says Sona with sweat poring down her forhead hearing his comments
" then what do you think about the devil faction?" she asks with curiosity to which he responds
" to be honest , you are a tolerable race , if we don't count almost 99% of the nobles and the reincarnated devils" he says with a straight face , to which sona's face twitch
"but isn't that all of us ?" she asks and he responds with
"exactly , now don't get me wrong your race almost has no drawbacks , except for the sins tied down to your existance , but your biggest advantage also became your biggest weakness" he says and Sona's curiousity is peaked again
noticing her expression he clarifies " i'm saying you're arrogant , now i'm not one to criticize you for arrogance , but your arrogance is also built upon incompetence , most of you nobles have superiority complex to anything that isn't a pure devil , while the reincarnated ones think they above everything else but pure devils , but the problem isn't there , the problem is , they are both incompetent , not even 5% of the devil race is capable of a decent battle , putting it bluntly , they are weak , putting aside the Satans and the clans with truly special abilities , the rest are cannon fodder , who would die at the first month of war "
and Sona falls into contemplation about what he said ' what he said about the devil as a whole being arrogant is true , but are we really so weak ? i don't believe so , if we were , why would our race survive the war'
Yuuto then adds " i can see you're not believing me , but it doesn't matter , what i'm saying isn't from a general prespective , it is from my own , i think they are weak , compared to the other races , you are decent , if i were to choose who i would hang out with for a drink , it would diffinitely be the devils , but for war , honestly i have no clue , but currently i think you guys are the most likely to get my support "
and Sona responds questionabbly " then why us , you criticized us as much as you did the other factions so why "
to which Yuuto smirks and responds " well isn't it obvious? because of you"
and now Sona is confused "me? what about me?"
and yuuto's smirks widens" you , obviously because i like you?"
and then Sona.exe shuts down
then she blushes while saying
" y-you , l-li-like me? how ? when ? we rarely even talk , and when we do it's merely greetings" she regains her wits at the end
"indeed , while we have barely talked , i know quite alot about you , after all you're not exactly unpopular , the ever serious ,stern , and strict princess of Sitri ."
to which Sona grumbles saying under her breath " but that's only what everyone knows"
and he agrees " indeed that's what everyone knows , but do they know , that you have a sister who is obssessed with magical girls , do they know how cute you are when you blush , or do they know how competent you are? you even managed to control your own engagement but setting the condition of beating you in chess , your most loved game ?''
And Sona's ears almost melted from redness and heat when she heard about her sister and blushing part , only to comeback to reality when she heard the later part , and she uncounsciouly murmured " how do you know that?"
Yuuto responds saying " like i said i know alot about you , i'm not saying i'm stalking you like you did last night , but i'm not too bad at getting information when i need it " he says smirking at both tsubaki and Sona who blushed about his remark and they said at the same time
" we were NOT STALKING YOU!!"
and Yuuto starts laughing to their annoyance
finally after laughing his butt off , he gets up to get out while saying
" well anyway , keep what i said in mind , we will talk another time , i am quite free , so do call upon me when you need to-" as he about to gets out sona gets up
" wait "
"what?"
and Sona doesn't responds for a few seconds appearing as if she's thinking about something and then she takes a deep breath and says something shocking both Yuuto and Tsubaki
" care of a game of chess?" she says smiling like the devil she is.

again criticism is welcomed this is my perspective of someone who like who got reincarnated in DxD i know alot of people dislike Sona due to no boobs in a boobs world but i believe she's the most reasonable girl to have as a first love , and i already mentioned that the harem wouldn't be irrational , the only girl you can get without too much trouble and only being smart and powerful is sona not to mention she 's smart as well and quite accepting as you can tell , im sona fan , sue me , anyway do tell what you think about this chapter and if you dislike anything about the interactions
